The Broken Puppet is an unusual NPC in Lies of P. It doesn’t follow the Grand Covenant, thus, the Puppet has a mind of its own. The NPC is sad because it is shunned by everyone whether it’s a monster, human, or another Puppet.

People can help the Broken Puppet by being its friend and showing it different Gestures in Lies of P. This way, the NPC will learn about emotions and become a better Puppet. Each Gesture is rewarded from various Main Quests or Side Quests in Lies of P.

Broken Puppet Quest In Lies Of P

To complete the Broken Puppet Quest in Lies of P, players must show the NPC four different Gestures obtained while exploring the City of Krat. This Quest is time-consuming as people must defeat several bosses and make decent progress in the City of Krat to obtain all necessary Gestures.

To find the Broken Puppet, head to the Barren Swamp Stargazer to find the Puppet right next to it. The required Gestures are; Clap, Sad, Anger, and Happy. Additionally, each time players teach the Broken Puppet a Gesture, the NPC will give a reward.

How To Get The Clap Gesture

Reward: Attribute Resistance Ampoule

Upon defeating the Eldest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood in Lies of P, enter their base where players can find a portrait of young Pinocchio inside one of the rooms to the left.

Take the portrait back to Geppetto in Lies of P at Hotel Krat. He thanks players and hangs it on the wall. Interact with the portrait to get the Clap Gesture.

How To Get The Sad Gesture

Reward: Radiant Ergo Fragment

Exploring the famous Rosa Isabelle Street, Pinocchio will stumble upon Julian the Gentleman in Lies of P near the Rosa Isabelle Street Culvert Stargazer. He asks that players retrieve his wife’s items.

Upon finding Melody’s body and acquiring the Wedding Ring, give it back to Julian. To get the Sad Gesture, players must Lie and choose I saw the message she left, saying she loves you. Telling the truth will lock out this Gesture in the current playthrough.

How To Get The Anger Gesture

Reward: Resplendent Ergo Fragment

The Anger Gesture is obtained along the way as there’s no Side Quest to complete. Simply defeat the Corrupted Parade Master in Lies of P, then speak to Antonia to receive the Anger Gesture.

How To Get The Happy Gesture

Reward: Dark Moon Moonstone of the Covenant

There are many merchants spread around the City of Krat in Lies of P. Near the Arche Abbey Outer Wall Stargazer, players can find Test Subject 826 standing next to a fire brazier. Speak with him to get the Happy Gesture. After teaching the Broken Puppet all the Gestures, speak with it one more time to get a Quartz.
