Horizon 3 Shouldn't Feel the Need to Break a Series Tradition

The Horizon franchise has built some modes of operation in its installments of Aloy's journey, and Horizon 3 should stick to the plan in one area.

Industry watcher Kurakasis tweeted that Sony was working together with LEGO for something related to a "well-known IP." They added that the relevant announcement was expected to be made soon. In the latest development, Tom Henderson referenced this rumor and cryptically wrote "An announcement is on the horizon" on Twitter. In a reply to his own tweet, Henderson explained that, as per his understanding, a LEGO Horizon trailer is "ready to go." Further, he said that the rumors of a showcase taking place soon are "accurate," giving a nod to the PlayStation Showcase event rumored for this month.

LEGO Horizon Collab May be Announced at PlayStation Showcase

Based on multiple rumors, there is a high chance that the LEGO Horizon announcement could be made at the next PlayStation Showcase event. While it isn't clear what the collaboration may entail, but LEGO's previous partnership with Horizon gives fans a hint. It's possible that a new LEGO set based on the franchise is being made, though there is also a possibility that a LEGO Horizon video game is in the works as well.

Back in May 2022, LEGO launched a toy set containing Horizon characters, including series protagonist Aloy, a Tallneck, and a Watcher. The popularity of this product even led to a fan creating LEGO Horizon figures of their own. Given the positive response and the fact that the official LEGO Horizon set was discontinued in December 2023, it wouldn't be a surprise if a new Horizon-inspired toy set was introduced soon to fill in the void.

After the news of Horizon Zero Dawn exiting PS Plus later this month, the rumors of a new Horizon-related announcement may instill excitement among fans of the action-adventure series. On top of that, the speculated appearances of highly anticipated games, such as the Silent Hill 2 remake, further make the forthcoming PlayStation Showcase one to watch out for.

LEGO Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck

A great gift for PlayStation fans, the 1222-piece Tallneck is a must-have for fans of the Horizon series. Standing 13.5 inches tall, this build not only comes with the titular mechanical beast, but also a mini-build of a Watcher from the game, and a minifig of the protagonist, Aloy. One cool hidden feature is the ability to swap out the color of the eyepiece for the watcher to be blue for passive, yellow for searching, or red for hostile.
