A reputable leaker has spilled the beans on several new details about the rumored LEGO Horizon game, such as its announcement date, the various modes it may offer, a surprising revelation about its launch platforms, and more. The reports of a new LEGO adaptation of PlayStation's hallmark Horizon series have been intensifying over the past month, and a formal reveal appears to be imminent as even more information about the title has surfaced.

Introduced in 2017, the Horizon series is relatively recent compared to other PlayStation marque franchises like God of War and Gran Turismo, but has undoubtedly become incredibly popular in that time. PlayStation has big plans to expand the franchise, with six future Horizon projects in the making and many more beyond that. The newly-rumored LEGO Horizon title is an unexpected venture for the series, but is shaping up to be interesting nonetheless.

LEGO Horizon Adventures' Graphics Rumors Explained

The rumored LEGO Horizon Adventures game will reportedly have realistic graphics which may be similar to TT Games' latest LEGO Star Wars game.

Over the past month, many details about the LEGO Horizon game have leaked, most notably that it'll basically be like the existing Horizon games but in a LEGO art style. Now, a new report from reliable insider billbil-kun writing for Dealabs reveals a plethora of potential new details surrounding the game, which will apparently be dubbed LEGO Horizon Adventures. The leaker claims that Sony Interactive Entertainment will be the publisher of the game, but didn't elaborate on the studio developing it. Many speculate that it could be TT Games, owing to its expertise in LEGO games for different franchises, but there's no telling yet.

A Formal Announcement Could Be On the Horizon

The leaker also suggests that LEGO Horizon Adventures will be revealed at the upcoming Summer Game Fest livestream, which is set to air on June 7. Pre-orders for standard and "deluxe" editions will seemingly go live right after the presentation as well, possibly hinting at a late 2024 release window. More interestingly, though, the report alleges that LEGO Horizon Adventures will release on PS5 and PC simultaneously, and that the game can apparently be played solo or co-op, with crossplay for the latter. The leaker also makes note of an intriguing "in-app purchases" section in the game, but is unsure of what it implies.

While knowledge of the LEGO Horizon project has been circulating for a while, the rumors of a day one PC release for a non-live-service title may contradict Sony's recent confirmation of tentpole single-player titles releasing on PS5 first and making their way to PC in subsequent years. The report also notes that LEGO Horizon Adventures' alleged day and date PC release also means that it'll require a PSN account on the platform, barring it from sale in over 170 countries. While LEGO Horizon Adventures does appear interesting, Sony's confusing strategy for PC releases needs to be further addressed.
