PlayStation and LEGO are working on a new game called LEGO Horizon Adventures, a well-known insider has said. The same source also shared some other details about the purported Horizon spin-off, including info on its premise.

The first rumblings of the project's existence emerged online on May 11, when Twitter user Kurakasis, known for IP filing research scoops, said that Sony and LEGO are "preparing something" related to a "well-known" PlayStation franchise. Industry insider Tom Henderson claimed that "something" to be a LEGO Horizon video game soon afterward.

Sony Reportedly Working on LEGO Version of Horizon Forbidden West

Henderson has now shared some additional details about the rumored project in a May 16 follow-up, starting with the game's alleged name: LEGO Horizon Adventures. His sources have suggested the title is essentially a LEGO version of the critically acclaimed Horizon Forbidden West, which debuted on the latest two generations of PlayStation consoles in early 2022 before making its way to PC two years later. Henderson believes that the reveal trailer for the game is already done, having supposedly been completed in April 2024, indicating that its announcement may be on the horizon.

LEGO Horizon Adventures Potentially On Course for a May 2024 Announcement

Taking this information at face value, LEGO Horizon Adventures could be announced as early as this month, not least because Sony has already suggested that there's a PlayStation Showcase planned for May 2024. A presumably PlayStation-exclusive LEGO game fits the profile of a head-turning project that Sony has historically featured in its Showcase-branded broadcasts. Aside from LEGO Horizon Adventures, another likely candidate to appear during the upcoming stream is Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 remake, which is still waiting for an official release date despite long being marketed as a 2024 title. Ghost of Tsushima 2 may also be part of the event, with recent reports indicating that the next big Sucker Punch project is closing in on an announcement.

Sony and LEGO's Relationship Seems To Be Strengthening

This purported title wouldn't be the first occasion on which Sony partnered with the Danish toy manufacturer. The duo previously collaborated on a LEGO Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck set, which was released alongside the latest mainline series entry in February 2022. This rumored partnership has the potential to kickstart a wave of similar collaborations that could see even more popular PlayStation IPs get the LEGO video game treatment, like so many other franchises already did.

A prospective LEGO Horizon game would presumably be a PlayStation exclusive, at least on day one. But given LEGO's long-standing commitment to multi-platform game publishing and Sony's own PC pivot that started in 2020, it seems plausible that LEGO Horizon Adventures will at the very least eventually make its way to PC.
