LEGO Fortnite features several biomes, from dry valley to winter, for players to explore and harvest essential crafting items. During exploration, you may encounter a dozen spiders hiding under rocks waiting to attack. Killing these arachnids forces them to drop a spiderweb that may not seem helpful at first.
However, as you progress in the game and build villages, you’ll notice the importance of spider webs in crafting Silk Fabric. Silk Fabric can be used to create unique equipment like luxurious beds, gliders, and couches. Here’s a step-by-step guide on getting Silk Fabric in LEGO Fortnite.
LEGO Fortnite: How to Find Frozen Ice Caves
Frozen Ice Caves are extremely hard to find in Lego Fortnite. This guide teaches players all they need to know about spotting them.
How to Get Silk Fabric in LEGO Fortnite
Getting Silk Fabric in LEGO Fortnite is a three-step process involving the following:
Find Spiders and Harvest Their Web
First, players must find and kill Spiders while exploring the world to harvest their web. You can find Spiders inside caves in the grasslands; just listen for the skittering noise in trees and bushes. Once you spot a Spider, hit it with a sword, and the arachnid will drop a spider web for you to pick up. Collect as many spiderwebs as you can, as some recipes require up to 6 Silk Fabrics to create a single item.
Refine Spiderweb into Silk Thread
Next, you have to turn each piece of spiderweb you’ve collected into Silk Thread. Feed the web into a Spinning Wheel to refine it into Silk Thread or Wool. Players can unlock Spinning Wheels by completing various tasks, such as placing a bed, campfire, and lumber mill. Alternatively, you can craft a Spinning Wheel using simple materials like 5 Wolf Claw, 5 Wood, 5 Wooden Rod, and 8 Plank.
Transform Silk Thread into Silk Fabric
Lastly, players must feed the Silk Thread into a Loom to refine it into Silk Fabric. If you haven’t unlocked the recipe for a Loom, you must first do this before transforming the thread into Silk Fabric. Unlocking the Loom crafting station requires players to explore the desert biome, where they cut down a cactus and pick up Flexwood.
After building your Loom, feed 5 Silk Threads to create one Silk Fabric. This means you’ll have to hunt down more spiders and collect many webs to create a lot of Silk Threads. For example, the glider recipe requires 6 Silk Fabrics, so you must collect 30 Silk Threads to craft this recipe. Getting Silk Fabric in LEGO Fortnite is a lengthy and time-consuming process, but with patience and a team of friends, you can easily craft the item.
