As with any simulation game, animals are an important part of having a steady source of food and crafting materials. In Lego Fortnite, befriending and creating a home for these animals, including sheep, cows, and chickens, can open up your town to a bunch of new crafting recipes.

You'll notice when you find animals in the wild, you can get regular resources from them, such as Wool. However, it'll be much more difficult to pick up Heavy Wool, as it isn't something that necessarily comes directly from sheep. Here's how you can pick up the elusive item in Lego Fortnite.

How to Get Heavy Wool in Lego Fortnite

There are only a few ways, it seems, you can get Heavy Wool in Lego Fortnite with ease. You'll need to visit the Snow Biomes in the game, and you'll find sheep here with a gray coat. You can try petting them and feeding them to see if they drop Heavy Wool, but the chances are very slim, and you'll most likely get regular Wool instead.

Locate Chests in the Snow Biome

So, another way you can more easily get Heavy Wool is by finding it in chests in the Snow Biome. You can either locate some chests within broken-down homes in the area, or check out some caves in the Snow Biome, which is bound to have quite a few chests inside.

Be on the lookout for the chests like in the images shown above, which have a gray and yellow color on the exterior. These will usually contain higher-level items, and you're more likely to stumble on Heavy Wool in these. Each chest usually contains about 2 to 3 Heavy Wool.

Give Your Villagers a Textile Job

Another method for obtaining some Heavy Wool is by assigning one of your villagers to a textile job. You can do this by approaching a villager of choice, choosing the 'Let's talk jobs!' option, 'Help the village!', and then 'Refining Jobs', and finally, 'Create Textiles'. To have them complete this job, however, you'll need to make sure you first have a Loom or Spinning Wheel for them to use.

You'll also need to make sure your village is at or above Level 7 before you'll be able to give your villagers these kinds of jobs.

Once you finally have your hands on some Heavy Wool, you can use it to create a few different recipes. This includes:

  • Heavy Wool Thread
  • Charm of Resilience
  • Cool-Headed Charm
  • Good Luck Charm
  • Health Charm
  • Hearty Totem
  • Inner Fire Charm
  • Regeneration Charm

All of these items can be incredibly beneficial to your adventures, making them significantly easier. These charms can help protect you against the heat, protect you against the cold, boost your health and defense, and more. Most of these recipes will require Heavy Wool Thread, which you can make by inputting your Heavy Wool into a Spinning Wheel.
