It's been nearly a week since Legends of Runeterra ended its beta and officially launched across the world. As the latest release from Riot Games, Legends of Runeterra is a unique take on digital card games that nevertheless has some familiar elements to veterans of the genre. However, the team has been hard at work fixing some problems plaguing PC and mobile users in the last few days.

Set in the same universe as League of Legends, players can create decks that explore the lore from various regions such as Demacia, Noxus, and Bilgewater. Similarly, they can include champions that grow stronger over the course of a match after fulfilling certain conditions. But just like their LoL counterparts, some champion cards are having issues that rendered them unplayable or overpowered which are now solved by a new hotfix.

The latest LoR update mainly patches issues with several champion ability interactions while leveling up. Sejuani's leveled up ability should now always apply despite start-of-round effects like Citybreaker instead of only sometimes working. Lee Sin now properly gains Barrier even if he leveled up from the first spell in a round instead of giving him double Challenger. Vi will no longer temporarily gain +8 attack while leveling up which fixes using the Dragon's Rage spell with her to deal unintended massive damage to the enemy Nexus. Finally, Twisted Fate can now be played on a full board when he previously wasn't.

While this hotfix will substantially affect the meta by itself, Legends of Runeterra players shouldn't expect the dust to settle soon. With Patch 1.1 arriving next week, Riot will aim to clean up more bugs and launch issues which could change the most optimal decks.

Legends of Runeterra is available now on PC and mobile devices.
