Riot Games is having quite the weekend. Not only are the North American and European League of Legends leagues nearing the end of their splits, but the competitive FPS Valorant is being showcased on content creators. Taking it up one more notch, Riot has also released a brand new trailer for its upcoming card game Legends of Runeterra. The cinematic trailer not only sets the mood for Legends of Runeterra, but confirms the game's upcoming release date on both PC and mobile.

Prospective Legends of Runeterra players can mark down April 30 on their calendars for the game's launch date. Legends of Runeterra remains in open beta on the PC for the time being, but mobile gamers will have to wait for the final release date.

The trailer itself is a high-quality cinematic showing two opposing League of Legends champions facing off, but doesn't provide any new details. A new FAQ on the Legends of Runeterra website makes up for it, however. Riot confirms that there will be no reset between beta an launch, that launch will add 120+ new cards including a new region, and that PC and mobile will have crossplay.

Riot Games plans to share more information about the upcoming changes to Legends of Runeterra soon, up through launch. Those curious if  Legends of Runeterra is for them can start playing right now via the game's open beta.
