Mark "Scruffy" Yetter, the Gameplay Design Director for League of Legends, took to Twitter to give fans information about what they can expect in the upcoming 10.25 patch. This includes buffs and nerfs for many items and a significant chunk of the champion pool.
Since League of Legends players are still in the midst of Preseason 2021, they can expect some constant changes as the development team observes what works—and what doesn't—after the implementation of Mythic items and addition of several new items. Players can rely on Mark Yetter to give them a first look at these new changes before they are officially released. In the upcoming patch, Yetter has revealed that 21 champions are set to receive different buffs.
The buffs are distributed across lanes and champion categories. Anivia is getting a decent buff across the board on all her stats, aimed at a general quality of life balance, according to Yetter. Pantheon will get multiple changes aimed at boosting his potential in the top-lane, with adjustments to his cooldowns and damage on each ability.
Champions like Irelia, Karthus, Lulu, Mordekaiser, Talon, and Warwick are getting damage increases. Twitch, Yasuo, and Yone are getting increases to their attack speeds. Multiple Jungle champions are getting buffed by dealing additional damage to monsters, such as Ekko, Taliyah, Rengar, and Wukong. More junglers are receiving tweaks as well to buff them up. Nidalee gets increased scaling on her Q ability, and lower mana costs; Lee Sin gets armor, cooldown, and damage adjustments; Ivern gets cooldown and shield adjustments, with Daisy (his ultimate) getting an attack speed increase. Seraphine is getting additional changes, as Riot keeps trying to move her towards the mid-lane instead of support role.
Unfortunately, not every champion is getting lucky with a buff this patch. Annie, Fizz, Jhin, Kayle, Kayn, Morgana, and Samira all receive some kind of nerf. Seeing Samira receive another nerf since her release makes it seem like the developers still see her as a bit overpowered. While it's unlucky for the players that enjoy these champions, matchups against these champion might be less frustrating. The full details are available in the images tweeted by Yetter.
As shown in the images, players can expect multiple adjustments to items as well. Generally, the cost of many of these items will be tweaked. Support players and AD carries will notice buffs on some familiar items. However, it seems a few assassin and tank focused items are getting slight nerfs, such as the Sunfire Aegis. Sorry, Amumu players.
Patch 10.25 is expected on December 9th, which is also when players can look forward to the new support champion Rell going live.
