A fan of The Last of Us created a video that highlights just how accurate the video game is being adapted in the debut of The Last of Us HBO TV series. The Last of Us is Naughty Dog's horror thriller game that has shaken up the industry and earned critical acclaim. Originally released exclusively for PS3 back in 2013, The Last of Us has sold over 37 million copies worldwide as a series.The Last of Us has received a remaster for PS4, a sequel, and a remake built from the ground up for PS5. Considering the game has plenty of cinematic influence in the way the main story is told, it is no surprise that the series would receive some form of live action adaptation. This became a reality this past Sunday when the TV series adaptation debuted on HBO with over 4.7 million viewers tuned in. In a post to Twitter, fan account joesttaylors shares a side by side video comparing the gameplay to the performances by the cast in the HBO series.

Fans of the series replied to the post praising the actors for their portrayal of the roles. Several users commented on the heartbreaking scene from the start of The Last of Us video game, stating that even though they knew it was coming they were still not prepared to experience that scene again for the TV series. The debut of TV series is undoubtedly a massive success despite concerns that spores from The Last of Us would be changed for the TV series.

Despite fan concerns and plenty of controversy over the past few years, The Last of Us continues to prove why it is one of the biggest series in gaming right now. Fans of the series are hopeful that The Last of Us 2 will also be adapted as future seasons following the success of Season 1. Druckmann has also hinted at The Last of Us 3 being a possibility, though fans are currently anticipating the long-awaited Factions 2 Multiplayer standalone game.
