New information hints at one of the highest-rated games of all time, The Last of Us, being compatible with the Steam Deck. The Steam Deck came out in February 2022, and Valve recently offered a special discount on the handheld to celebrate its 1-year anniversary.

Valve also revealed the most popular games that are Steam Deck Verified including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Elden Ring, Hades, and the recently released Hogwarts Legacy. This data was based on the peak player count of the games, with Hogwarts Legacy being at the top of the list. The full lineup consists of some of the highest-rated games released in recent years, and it looks another top-rated title will be Steam deck compatible.

While this clip suggests that The Last of Us Part 1 will be Steam Deck Verified, fans may want to wait for an official announcement for full confirmation. Still, Valve will probably not include it in the video if The Last of Us Part 1 was not compatible with the Steam Deck. Additionally, this news was sort of confirmed back in December 2022, as Naughty Dog Co-President Neil Druckmann mentioned that The Last of Us Part 1 will be compatible with the Steam Deck.

The biggest PlayStation first-party games on PC are Steam Deck Verified, including God of War, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, Horizon Zero Dawn, and more. So, it makes sense for The Last of Us Part 1 to follow the same pattern. Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered was among the list of the most popular games on Steam Deck, and it’ll be interesting to see if The Last of Us Part 1 manages to be a part of this esteemed list.

Gamers interested in playing it on their PCs instead should make note of the system requirements for The Last of Us Part 1, as fans will need a GeForce 1050 Ti or Radeon 470 at the minimum, with GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6600 XT being the recommended GPUs.

The Last of Us Part 1 is available now on PC and PS5.
