In The Last of Us 2, players are thrown back into a familiar Cordyceps-ravaged world but in control of Ellie this time. On Ellie's journey in Seattle, there are plenty of things to discover and ways to make her stronger when not immediately fighting. And just like before, following Ellie's quest for revenge awards trophies for certain achievements.

Like other PS4 games, the trophy difficulty can range from easy to hard depending on its color. While some trophies can be completed by playing through the story normally, the others require exploring and accomplishing certain tasks that may not be clear from the description. Note that there are minor The Last of Us 2 spoilers, but this guide will detail and give tips on acquiring all 26 trophies in-game.

Thankfully, if players miss Naughty Dog's references to Jax and Daxter or can't complete certain objectives, trophies can still be earned in New Game+ which unlocks after clearing the story once. Since past upgrades are retained with New Game+, this is the only way to acquire the Survival Expert and Arms Master trophies because there aren't enough spare parts and supplements to get everything in one playthrough.
