Seven years after the original, The Last of Us 2 has finally released. Even though its arrival is being met with a bevy of review bombs, the game is being well-received by actual critics. Players can expect another violent, dramatic saga in the post-apocalyptic United States. It will be a long journey to the end, but for those wondering how long, here is a list of every chapter in the game to provide some clarity.

It depends on the player, but some like to know exactly what they're getting into while others don't. There are a lot of chapters in The Last of Us 2 and each is titled in a way that will pinpoint where players will stop along the way. While relatively mild, it does mean that there will be some spoilers. Anyone who wants to go through fresh and leave everything as a surprise should note this.

Chopping the game up into smaller sections is helpful to players looking for collectibles since there is a lot to find, such as the 8 hidden training manuals that allow players to learn new skill trees. As with the previous game, there will be some important decisions to make on what to upgrade. Some upgrades are more beneficial than others and there are limitations. Every player has their own way they want to play the game, but they should think hard about which skills to upgrade first.

As the list shows, Ellie's journey this time around will be lengthy, and she'll have to face many of the same threats. Having the right tools on hand will make the trip to the end a lot easier, though. In that regard, players will want to find the flamethrower weapon, an item that makes a return from the first game. It will be a powerful tool against the Infected and human enemies, which is likely why it can't be obtained until the later portions of the game.

Those looking for goodies a little earlier will be able to discover plenty through various locked doors and safes found throughout the title. During the Seattle Day 1 chapter, players will encounter the Wellwisher Thrift Store. Inside is a safe that requires the proper combination. Once players navigate the building to the backroom, the can use the thrift store safe code to receive some helpful supplies.

The Last of Us 2 is out now, exclusively for PS4.
