Award-winning actress Laura Bailey wants to reprise her role as Abby from The Last of Us 2 if given the chance. Abby proved to be one of the most controversial characters from The Last of Us 2, with some fans of the first game taking issue with how her character was handled. Others, however, were impressed with Abby's character arc, particularly Laura Bailey's portrayal of the character, which managed to win multiple awards.

Laura Bailey has an extensive career in gaming, with her most recent role being Fiona in New Tales from the Borderlands. Bailey also appears in many non-gaming projects, like the recently released Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, where she played the role of Lois Lane. Bailey was interviewed by Comic Book Movie about her role in Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, and she was also asked about playing the role of Abby again.

The Last of Us 2 Fan Makes Abby in WWE 2K22

If Laura Bailey were to play the role of Abby again, one would imagine it would happen in a potential Last of Us 3. The Last of Us 2 brought the franchise's story to an end in many ways, but it also left the door open for future games to continue the plot. Many fans would most likely want to see what happens next with Ellie, but there are those who would be interested in a Last of Us 3 game focused on Abby as well.

Abby spends most of The Last of Us 2 portrayed as a powerful force. Abby is muscular, strong, and a capable survivor, going toe to toe with dangerous enemies and deadly monstrosities. However, the end of The Last of Us 2 leaves Abby as a broken, defeated person who nearly dies at the hands of Ellie.

Ultimately, Ellie allows Abby and her companion Lev to leave on a boat, presumably to regroup with the surviving members of the Fireflies. The Last of Us 3 could pick up right where The Last of Us 2 left off, showing fans what happened to Abby and Lev in the aftermath and if they made it to the other Fireflies safely or not.

The Last of Us 2 is out now for PS4.
