Having completed the Last Epoch storyline, many players dive into the Monoliths of Fate. However, some quit the game without learning about the Empowered version of this activity. The non-intuitive progression process and the lack of prompts from NPCs in the post-story game make things much more difficult, but the result is worth the effort. Eventually, Empowered Monoliths give you the highest chances of receiving the best rewards in Last Epoch.

Similar to the classic Monoliths of Fate, their Empowered versions reward the player with a specific type of item, but the endlessly increasing corruption ensures a hard fight and better rewards, regardless of your level and skill. To start, you must complete several level 90 challenges.

How To Reach Empowered Monoliths in Last Epoch

To unlock Empowered Monoliths in Last Epoch, players must complete Normal versions of the following Monoliths of Fate: Spirits of Fire, The Last Ruin, and The Age of Winter. These monoliths are level 90 challenges, so you will need better gear and a good build to complete them. Additionally, you won't be able to reach these challenges very quickly. Once you reach the main island in The End of Time, slowly move along the monoliths until you reach the ones you need.

Once you've completed all three level 90 Monoliths of Fate, head to the small island between them and interact with the chest in the center. By completing these steps, you will permanently unlock Empowered Monoliths and be able to choose this difficulty option when choosing challenges. This is quite convenient, since you can always return to a lower difficulty level to farm enemies for Prophecies.
