Playing Last Epoch, you have to complete various quests. While most of them only require the defeating of various enemies, some can sometimes leave players confused. The Desert Treasure quest is a fine example of this. During it, you will have to find an ancient relic in the desert. However, some players have reported that they have encountered a bug while trying to complete it.

This bug prevents Last Epoch players from progressing in the quest. Moreover, by fixing it, you will only receive part of the possible reward. For those whose progress has been impeded by this bug, this guide provides a fix.

How to Fix the Desert Treasure Quest Bug in Last Epoch

Last Epoch gameplay

The Desert Treasure quest becomes available after players complete The Desert Waystation quest. You will then need to find a temple in the desert and fight the Gold Elemental. This boss will drop a mysterious relic, which, unfortunately, not all players will be able to pick up. In case of a bug, the item on the floor will no longer be highlighted, and the quest will become stuck. But don’t worry because, to fix the Desert Treasure quest bug in Last Epoch, you just need to talk to Scalebane Fence.

This NPC is located in one of the caves in this location. He will tell you that he has the information you need. But of course, he is not going to share it for free. Because of this, players will have to pay him 5,000 gold. By doing this, you can get rid of the bug and complete the Desert Treasure quest in Last Epoch.

Want to know which Blessings are the best in Last Epoch? If so, here's a list of all Blessings in the game and instructions to help you get them.

Despite the quest log, you will only receive 3,000 XP as a reward. This is not very much, but hopefully, developers may fix this bug in future patches.

At the same time, if you are lucky and can progress in the quest without problems, you will still have to face the Scalebane Fence. But instead of asking you for money, he will make you an offer. Thanks to the relic you picked up, the NPC can buy it back for at least 5,000 Gold. This will also complete the Desert Treasure quest, and the reward for doing so this way will be much better:

  • Passive Skill Point
  • 3,000 XP
  • Up to 3 Rare Idol Slots

That's all you need to know about fixing the Desert Treasure quest bug in Last Epoch. Though the solution will render the reward less appealing, it will still allow players to progress.
