She does possess this power, but it is a one-use power, which makes her quite a liability after it has been used. Megumin takes the world of Konosuba by storm with her cheeky personality and determined, competitive spirit.

KonoSuba's latest episode bings back some of the series' most beloved characters, making it one of the more memorable episodes to date.
7 “My name is Megumin! My calling is that of an arch wizard, who controls explosion magic, the strongest of all offensive magic. “
Season 1, Episode 2
Megumin knows how to make an entrance. She introduces herself to Kazuma, Aqua, and viewers during this episode with this statement. From this, one would think she’s an all-powerful wizard, but soon after, fans realize she's not that serious. She goes on to faint afterward, claiming she has not eaten anything in three days, making her serious aura immediately disappear.
Viewers soon find out that although her statement about controlling explosion magic is true, there is a caveat. She cannot use explosion magic more than once per day, because she uses so much energy that she cannot move a muscle afterward.

After finding out that Megumin can only use her magic once a day, and seeing how well she got along with Aqua, Kazuma knew he had to shut it down immediately. Unfortunately for him, he was in a slimy situation. After their quest with the giant toads, Aqua and Megumin were covered with slime, and Kazuma had to back Megumin since she could not move thanks to having used her explosion magic.

As Kazuma was about to reject her application, she yelled that she was okay with his erotic acts, making the villagers give him the stinkeye. Megumin purposely shouted so that he would beg her to keep quiet and finally cave into the idea of letting her join his party.

Season 1, Episode 5
When Mitsurugi, another reincarnated Japanese boy, sees Aqua, he is excited and shocked to see a goddess like her locked in a cage. He tries to attack Kazuma for not giving Aqua the luxurious life she deserves.
As he grabs Kazuma, Darkness and Megumin bash him with their words for being rude to Kazuma. Megumin knows how powerful her explosion magic is, and at that moment, she felt like unleashing her powers on Mitsurugi for the way he was treating Kazuma. Even though she doesn't always act like it, Megumin truly cares about the well-being of Kazuma.

When the destroyer was approaching the city, all the adventurers were on alert and gathered to make a plan on how to destroy it. They conclude they need a incredible amount of firepower to stop it — and that firepower could only come from the "crazy one," also known as Megumin. This nickname makes Megumin angry, and she threatens to unleash her crazy power — that is, her explosion magic — at them.
KonoSuba: What to Expect From Season 3 (According to the Light Novel)
The next season of KonoSuba is right around the corner and light novel readers know that it's going to be a good one.
The adventurers were not wrong to trust Megumin. In this episode, she successfully uses her explosion magic twice. Her power is what destroys the destroyer and saves everyone in the city.
3 “After all, I’m in the kind of relationship with Kazuma here where we bathe together.”
Season 2, Episode 2
Yunyun, Megumin’s self-proclaimed rival, shows up in his episode and tries to get Megumin to duel with her. Throughout the episode, Megumin gives the impression that she is not interested in their duels, and Yunyun is just wasting her time. But secretly, she enjoys the duel.
This statement brings Megumin’s win home as she tells Yunyun with a sly look on her face. Yunyun barely has platonic friends, and the realization that Megumin has an intimate relationship makes her accept defeat as she declares Megumin the winner of their duel.

Season 3, Episode 4
This was a smug statement from Megumin to Kazuma, as he had just successfully given them a difficult task. Kazuma, after spending a few days with Princess Iris, was not ready to go back to his boring and unspoiled life. Looking for ways to extend his stay, he declared that he was going to find the thief who targets nobles and give the loot to the Eris church. He thought this would enable him to spend longer in the castle, but he was wrong.
In their group, Kazuma, weirdly enough, seems like the less problematic one. He often tries to stay out of trouble, but this time around, he got them into trouble and unnecessary work. This led Aqua and Megumin to take jabs at him because, for once, it was not their doing.

Season 3, Episode 6
When Kazuma joined Chris to be a noble thief, their first task was to steal the necklace that Princess Iris was wearing, because it is a dark treasure that allows users to switch bodies. What Kazuma did not expect was for Megumin to fangirl over Chris. At first sight, Megumin was star-struck and impressed with his fashion style.
At the castle the next day, Clair accused Kazuma of being useless, but praised the thieves for their impressive performance. This made Kazuma smile, almost revealing his dangerous secret as Megumin goes into fan girl mode. It is safe to assume that once she finds out her mystery masked man is Kazuma, she will be a little upset.
