Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the Star Warrior's first venture into 3D, and naturally, as a result, the mechanics many fans are used to are being re-tooled to make up for the new gameplay style. While not much has changed, Kirby's arsenal has been given a huge upgrade with weapons that can be evolved. However, to unlock these more powerful forms, fans first need to find a blueprint.

The Waddle Dee that runs the shop loves experimenting and working with the many Copy Abilities the franchise is known for. This means that when fans find a Blueprint, it's in their best interests to give them to him right away so it can be upgraded at the cost of Rare Stones and Star Coins. Each evolution changes the ability significantly, adding new strategies for the many challenges players face during their adventure.

Updated April 13, 2022, by Zackari Greif: Blueprints start finding their way into levels and bonuses after fans unlock the Waddle Dee Weapons Shop by defeating the first boss of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Many of them can be rather tricky for fans to find on their first playthrough, and this guide is where fans can find all the blueprint locationsin Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Previously, the guide listed only some of the blueprints we've found so far, but now, this list has been updated to show players how to get every single one.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land Blueprint Locations

  • Chakram Cutter & Volcano Fire - Given to Kirby once the Waddle Dee Weapons Shop has opened. If players have already explored Treasure Road challenges before they beat Gorimondo, they most likely can upgrade these abilities right away.
  • Clutter Needle Blueprint - Found in Scale the Cement Summit. At the start of the level, after fans climb the first ladder, they should look for a bomb block on the right. Destroying it will expose the Blueprint in the floor.
  • Chain Bomb Blueprint - Found in Fast-Flowing Waterworks. This Blueprint is unmissable as it's a reward for defeating an enemy gauntlet in the middle of the level. However, fans will get an extra Waddle Dee if they do it without falling into the water.
  • Noble Ranger Blueprint - Reward after beating Tropic Woods, the final boss of Everbay Coast. This upgrade should come in handy for many players, especially against bosses like Clawroline.
  • Toy Hammer Blueprint - Found in Welcome to Wondaria. As players learn how to use Water Balloon mouth Kirby, they'll have some wilted flowers they need to take care of. The player should approach a place with three wilted flowers, and one long section of mud. Clean the mud up with the flowers to get this Blueprint.
  • Gigant Sword Blueprint - Found at Circuit Speedway. In the middle of the level, fans will encounter a Wild Edge Mid-boss, and this Blueprint is the reward. It's very fitting that this boss holds this Blueprint, as this upgrade is inspired by it.
  • Time Crash Blueprint - Found at Invasion at the House of Horrors. As players climb a few steps to move forward in the middle of an area, to the left of the stairs should be a hole with a coin inside. Using Kirby's float ability to check it out leads to a tunnel with this Blueprint at the end.
  • Fleur Tornado Blueprint - Found at The Wondaria Dream Parade. When players get Water Balloon Mouth Kirby, they'll have a few lines of robots to go through, but they should eventually reach a shutter in a wall on the right. Blast the parade robots into the wall to find a Hidden Waddle Dee, but one more for good measure will uncover the Fleur Tornado Blueprint.
  • Pencil Drill Blueprint - Reward after beating Clawroline. It's a rather interesting Blueprint to find here, as the game encourages the player to use other Copy Abilities against her, but it's a rather helpful ability that players should look into upgrading.
  • Meta Knight Sword Blueprint - Reward for clearing the Meta Knight Cup at the Colosseum. This means players need to beat Meta Knight to fittingly obtain it.
  • Dragon Fire Blueprint - Found at Windy, Freezing Seas. Against winds that keep players moving towards the end of the level, fans should keep to the left as they enter an enclosed area. They should find an object to inhale to turn into Scissor-Lift Kirby, and use that as leverage to slide to the right and extend to reach a chest at the top. In that chest is the Dragon Fire Blueprint.
  • Frosty Ice Blueprint - Found at The Battle of Blizzard Bridge. This blueprint is unmissable, as it's a reward for defeating the Twin Wild Frostys at the end of the level. However, getting there will be a test of just how much the player can take as the entire level serves as a mini-boss gauntlet.
  • Homing Bomb Blueprint - Reward after beating King Dedede. Considering it's the last upgrade for the Bomb Copy Ability, it's a suitable reward for a rather challenging boss fight. It will most likely come in handy with the later adventures players will face as the game moves into its second act.
  • Crystal Needle Blueprint - Found in The Wastes Where Life Began. It can be found on a deserted, rotting ship to the right of the map. Players will fight a Fleurina upon using a ladder to get up on top of the ship, and the treasure chest containing it can be found at the point of the ship on the left.
  • Buzz-Saw Cutter Blueprint - Found in Searching the Oasis. After fans pass a ring of poisonous gunk, they should look for a small fence with a hole in it. Going into that hole will lead them to a ledge with the treasure chest containing the last Cutter upgrade Blueprint.
  • Wild Hammer Blueprint - Found in Alivel Mall (Staff Side.) Players will be rewarded this Blueprint upon defeating a Wild Bonkers found in the stage.
  • Twin Drill Blueprint - Found in Moonlight Canyon. While players are climbing a cliffside with vanishing block footholds, they should keep their eyes out for two wooden barrels by themselves. The first one contains a gacha figure capsule, and the other one contains this Blueprint.
  • Blizzard Ice Blueprint - Reward after beating Sillydillo. Unlike the other Ice Kirby upgrade, this one comes soon after the second upgraded form, which will come in handy with future boss rushes players will need to face.
  • Space Ranger Blueprint - Found in Conquer the Inferno Road. Right before grabbing the last group of Waddle Dees to finish the stage, look off in the distance to the right to see a floating target. Shoot it with the Ranger ability to unlock this blueprint.
  • Deep Sleep Blueprint - Found at Burning, Churning Power Plant. Players can find a lantern that can be ignited with the Fire Copy Ability. Doing so will raise the platform to the right, and players will find the blueprint by using the float ability to find a hidden path to the left.
  • Storm Tornado Blueprint - Found at the Gathering of the Beast Council. Once players defeat Clawroline a second time, they should stick to the right of the Roller Coaster platform. Hidden in the right-side wall of the top platform are breakable blocks that expose the Storm Tornado Blueprint.
  • Masked Hammer Blueprint - Awarded to players after clearing Lab Discovera as a post-game reward. All fans need to do to receive this reward is to go talk to the Minion Waddle Dee next to King Dedede in Waddle Dee Town, who can be found resting on a bench to the left of the Colosseum after the credits.
  • Morpho Knight Sword Blueprint - Rewarded to players after defeating Morpho Knight. The rarest and most powerful ability in the game by far as it includes a teleport dodge, fire tornado attacks, and finishing combos on enemies results in Kirby regaining a small portion of his HP. Luckily, it's given to players before unlocking Ultimate Cup Z, as this sword is almost needed to get through the post-game boss rush.
