A new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 was recently revealed at a fan event that shows off a few of the upcoming title's mini-games.

It all went down at the Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] event, titled "Dandelion Meeting," that celebrates the mobile game. There, fans were hoping to see something new from Kingdom Hearts 3, and they weren't disappointed.

Attendees were treated to the Classic Kingdom trailer, which previews the title's mini-games. They are packed with a double dose of nostalgia, inspired by both classic Disney cartoons and 1980's LCD games.

It's been a while since anything official has been shown for Kingdom Hearts 3, the latest preview being a trailer that teased the Monsters Inc. world a couple months ago. The trailer revealed not only a new world, but also a new Keyblade transformation -- which will be a big part of the gameplay -- and the return of past villains, like Marluxia and Vanitas. This is the second Pixar world to be included in Kingdom Hearts 3 so far, the first being Toy Story. From what can be seen in the trailers, both of these exciting worlds appear to accurately capture the endearing characters and humor that the films are known for.

While we know that Kingdom Hearts 3 is scheduled to release in 2018, there hasn't been an official date from Square Enix quite yet. However, a possible release date leak suggests it will happen near the end of the year.

On the pre-order page on the Target website, the title was temporarily listed for release on November 1, but has since been taken down. Because this falls on a Thursday, it's a tad suspect, since that is not typically when publishers release titles. Time will tell if this ends up being accurate or not.

Convention season is right around the corner, so we can expect to see a lot more of Kingdom Hearts 3 at these events. Since it's the year of its release, we can guarantee there will be a new trailer or two, as well as an official release date at some point soon.
