Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Revealed, and It's Much Bigger Than the First Game

Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver reveal Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, the sequel to the hit 2018 medieval action-adventure title.

As reported by Czech website Zing.cz, producer Martin Klíma revealed Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was affected by hardware limitations with the Xbox Series S console. The main cause of the issues boils down to the Xbox Series S's 10 GB of RAM, which affected how large Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 could be. While the sequel is larger than the first game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 could only be roughly 25% larger than the original title. The Xbox Series S is one of two next-gen consoles offered by Microsoft, with the Xbox Series X being the more powerful option.

Producers also recently revealed that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 would run at 4K resolution and 30 framers per second on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However, the Xbox Series S will run at 1440p and 30 frames per second. For PC players, developers confirmed Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 allows up to 80 frames per second at 4K resolution. While the scope of the game may have been affected, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is still shaping up to be a worthy successor to one of 2018's most engrossing action RPG titles.

Warhorse Studios officially announced Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 back in April 2024 and while the sequel does not have an official release date, the game is slated to hit modern home consoles and the PC market sometime in 2024. Combat has been upgraded significantly in the sequel, with Kingdom: Come Deliverance 2 also featuring more reactive systems. Developers have promised that nearly every single decision players make in the game will be important. Players can be as noble or as evil as they like, with all actions in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 having a consequence.
