Killing Floor 2 is all about teamwork, as is the case with plenty of the other best co-op horror games out there. Whether it's a classic co-op or player vs Zed mode, you win the match only by playing as a team. Even though the game only offers a co-op experience, the feature of creating a party with friends is not entirely prominent. The game also uses dedicated servers, which complicates the process. But, once you get used to the mechanics, this will no longer be a problem. This guide will tell you how to easily play Killing Floor 2 with friends.

How To Play With Friends In Killing Floor 2

Killing Floor 2 create game

Of course, nothing is more exciting than destroying hordes of ZEDs with your friends in Killing Floor 2. But, when you first launch the game, you may get a little lost since team matchmaking can be difficult. In reality, it turns out to be easier than it seems. So, to play with friends in Killing Floor 2, you must create a private game.

First, you must start creating a Match. At the bottom of the screen, players can find Permissions. Click on this button and select the Private: Passworded option. After this, you need to create a password that will allow your friends to join your party.

Now, you must invite your teammates. To do this, click Create Party and invite friends to play Killing Floor 2 with them.

Despite the crossplay between platforms in the game, it does not work very well. If your friends are using a console, and you are on a PC , then it may take you several attempts to add them to the party.

Don’t forget to share the password you created when making a private game. Your friends will need to enter it to join the team. And when the whole party is assembled, all you have to do is click the Play Online Now button to start your co-op zombie battle against the bloodthirsty ZEDs.

Additionally, some players report long loading times or time lags in Killing Floor 2. It is because the game connects you to any free server, regardless of your location. Therefore, if your party experiences many lags, it is better to try to start the match again — in the hopes for linking up with a closer server site.
