Call of Duty: MW3 Zombies Getting New Update Mid-Season

Some exciting news is revealed for fans of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's Zombies mode to investigate and explore ahead of season 4.

The Firebug is the pyromaniac of the group, specializing in all things fire. From molotov cocktails to energy-based laser rifles, this class can easily rack up both kills and assists thanks to the prolonged nature of the damage type. The class possesses some of the best weapons in the game, so even players with another primary class may want to check out some of these particularly vicious weapons in the Firebug's arsenal.

Flamethrower

The Ideal Base For Any Aspiring Firebug

Killing Floor 2 Flamethrower
  • Cost: 1200 Dosh
  • Carry Weight: 7 KG

The Flamethrower is a much better version of the Firebug's standard Caulk N' Burn, delivering almost double the damage with twice the fuel capacity. Shooting out jets of lethal fire, the Flamethrower is ideal for causing massive damage to groups of enemies and is ideal when hordes of Zeds are caught in chokepoints such as doorways.

With all the perks available to the Firebug, the damage of this weapon can be enhanced considerably. The Napalm and Ground Fire perks in particular will enhance the effects of the Flamethrower, causing fires to spread when enemies stand near each other, as well as boosting the damage of ground fires when they are started.

Dual Spitfires

A Relatively Cheap But Extremely Powerful Sidearm

Killing Floor 2 Best Firebug Weapons Dual Spitfires
  • Cost: 650 Dosh
  • Carry Weight: 4 KG

Though relatively cheap and easy to unlock, Dual Spitfires are arguably the best sidearm in the game, unleashing powerful volleys of incendiary ammunition. Even before being upgraded, a few rounds from Dual Spitfires are perfect for thinning the enemy ranks, especially lower-level enemies who may not be worth using rarer ammunition on.

Killing Floor 2: Every Class Ranked From Worst To Best

Killing Floor 2 has a lot of classes the player can choose from. Here's which to avoid, and which are the best to try.

Regardless of class, the Dual Spitfires are a great choice, but for Firebugs in particular, even more damage can be wrought due to the combinations of powerful fire-based perks available to them. Even though they work with a revolver-like mechanism, the rate of fire of the Dual Spitfires is still very impressive to behold.

HRG Dragonblaze

This Incendiary Shotgun Can Stand Up To Most Enemies

Killing Floor 2 Best Firebug Weapons HRG Dragonblaze
  • Cost: 1400 Dosh
  • Carry Weight: 7 KG

The HRG Dragonblaze is a tier 4 shotgun with significantly more power than the Dragonsbreath shotgun. For Firebugs, it is a great mid-game weapon and makes an excellent backup in the later rounds. It's great at wiping out weaker enemies but can also do substantial damage to larger targets, especially when targeting their weak points.

The only real downside to the HRG Dragonblaze is its limited ammo capacity and harsh recoil, which can make landing successive shots difficult. This can be improved with upgrades, and few weapons are capable of unleashing so much close-range damage.

Incendiary Rifle

A Powerful Assault Rifle With Additional Fire Damage

Killing Floor 2 Best Firebug Weapons Incendiary Rifle
  • Cost: 1200 Dosh
  • Carry Weight: 6 KG

The Incendiary Rifle is arguably one of the best assault rifles in the game, particularly for mid-tier enemies. Equipped with a grenade launcher in addition to its incendiary ammunition, this rifle alone is capable of fending off entire waves of enemies - ammunition permitting.

Wondering about all of the ways you can get new cosmetics in Killing Floor 2? This guide will show you how to get some.

Though the Incendiary Rifle only has some basic iron sights, it is still surprisingly accurate. The accuracy and overall damage can also be improved as the weapon is upgraded, and with a relatively light carry weight, it makes for an excellent backup to some other, slow-firing weapons.

Microwave Gun

Ideal For Cooking Mid-Tier Zeds To A Crisp

Killing Floor 2 Best Firebug Weapons Microwave Gun
  • Cost: 1500 Dosh
  • Carry Weight: 9 KG

The Microwave Gun is a high-powered energy weapon that can fire beams of molten lava. A cross between an assault rifle and a flamethrower, the Microwave Gun is one of the stronger weapons in the Firebug class and will be particularly useful in later levels as higher numbers of enemies appear.

Though it lacks some accuracy and has a sharp recoil, the devastating effects of the Microwave Gun will act to slow and weaken all but the toughest enemies in the game, applying considerable burning damage to any Zeds that happen to walk in its firing line.

Husk Cannon

This Powerful Fire-Cannon Will Cause Absolute Mayhem

Killing Floor 2 Best Firebug Weapons Husk Cannon
  • Cost: 1500 Dosh
  • Carry Weight: 8 KG

The Husk Cannon is a slow-firing projectile launcher that shoots large fireballs at opponents which explode on impact, causing damage to all enemies in the vicinity. It is a Firebug equivalent of a grenade launcher, with the added benefit of starting ground fires to cause prolonged damage.

19 Best Co-Op Zombie Games

The best co-op zombie games are the ones where players can enjoy hacking and slashing zombies together. Just make sure to be out of biting distance.

This weapon is capable of taking on both the larger Zeds and bosses as well as groups of weaker enemies. While it may not have the highest rate of fire, and slow, cumbersome reloads can be troubling when overwhelmed, the Husk Cannon is worth checking out due to the high damage and crowd control effect it has on enemies.

Thermite Bore

A Powerful Explosive Weapon Ideal For Taking Down Bosses

Killing Floor 2 Best Firebug Weapons Thermite Bore
  • Cost: 1500 Dosh
  • Carry Weight: 7 KG

The Thermite Bore is a very powerful weapon ideally suited to taking down bosses and larger enemies such as Fleshpounds. Firing out an explosive bore, the ammunition will stick to targets for a short time before detonating. It is easy to see why this is best suited to facing bosses, who can typically be damage sponges, but the Thermite Bore will significantly reduce their health at a rapid rate.

Much like the Husk Cannon, the limited ammo and slow reload times of the Thermite Bore balance out its massive damage, but it is a worthy trade-off considering the destruction it can inflict. Though it has a limited ammo capacity, it still holds more ammunition than other, similarly powered weapons of different types.

Helios Rifle

A Futuristic Rifle With A Huge Range Of Benefits

Killing Floor 2 Best Firebug Weapons Helios Rifle
  • Cost: 2000 Dosh
  • Carry Weight: 8 KG

The Helios Rifle is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, assault rifles in the game. In addition to a high rate of fire and holographic sight to improve accuracy, it also applies burning damage to targets which can be enhanced further with Firebug perks such as Bring The Heat and Barbecue.
