Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige has been the talk amongst Marvel fans due to recent comments that may or may not have been taken out of context. This comes from a recent episode of Marvel Studios: Assembled, where the MCU discussed the fan favorite Avengers series.

While discussing all things Marvel on the Disney Plus exclusive series, Feige called Avengers: Endgame "the final Avengers movie." Many are debating about what that statement means, as some were expecting more Avengers films in the future while others think this is foreshadowing that another group will take the place of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The episode of Assembled was actually dedicated to Chloe Zhao's Eternals, and the Feige quote that got everyone talking was when he said, "Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now past their tenth anniversary and with the release of the final Avengers movie, we've finally completed a 22-movie Infinity Saga." The Infinity Saga is the culmination of films that all began with the release of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. The crossover between these heroes in other films was unprecedented and trail blazed a new era of live-action comic book storytelling.

Marvel Studios handles their movies in phases, and right now the MCU is currently in its fourth phase. This fourth phase is introducing the next chapter of the overarching Marvel Studios storyline and now includes television series as part of the canon. These stories are setting the pieces up for a lot of big things to happen, and many are wondering when the X-Men or The Fantastic Four will make an appearance. Assuming that these teams do make an appearance, it's possible they can take the place of the Avengers.

Fans wondered what the next big superhero team-up film would be after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where the team became the biggest it's ever been. So it makes sense that Endgame was the final movie, as it's unreasonable to expect to have the whole army that showed up in the end of Endgame come back each time there's a crisis. There's a possibility that a new superhero team will take the place of the Avengers such as the X-Men, X-Force, The Young Avengers, or even Fantastic Four. The point is, a new group will have to become the part of a blockbuster franchise that many continue to look forward to. The Avengers movies always served as a "reunion" event that brought all the individual stories from the heroes' own films together.

The other alternate possibility is that there will be another Avengers movie, but this one will take place with a brand-new set of heroes. These heroes will be taking over from where the previous characters left off. The recent Disney Plus series have been introducing many new and younger heroes, so ideally they would form the Young Avengers. Kate Bishop, Yelena, and Ironheart are some of the new heroes that are being introduced in this new phase.
