At the end of the annual Capcom Cup, Street Fighter game producer, Yoshinori Ono, took to the stage to deliver some news to the event's attendees. While teasing the fans with an inanimate toy named Blanka, Kenny "The Cleaner" Omega walked on stage and delivered a devastating superkick straight to Ono's face.

For those who may not know, Kenny Omega is a Canadian born pro wrestler who is a figurehead in the wrestling community and also serves as executive vice president for All Elite Wrestling. Yoshinori Ono is a well-known game producer for Capcom who has done work for a variety of Capcom titles, but is well known for his work with the Street Fighter series.

Yoshinori Ono walked onto the Capcom Cup stage with a Blanka toy and started teasing the fans by saying that it was related to some upcoming Street Fighter news. This got many of the attendees excited considering the news that Capcom was set to release three new DLC characters before retiring Street Fighter 5 altogether. Ono continued to tease the fans by saying that the toy had forgotten the news in question.

At this point, in a fit of rage, Kenny Omega took to the stage and demanded that Ono share the news with the rest of the crowd at Capcom Cup. When Ono refused, Omega delivered a devastating superkick to Ono's face and then proceeded to show a spotlight trailer for the new DLC character, Seth. After the trailer had played, Ono got back up and slammed a chair into Omega's back, thus ending Capcom Cup 2019.

The skit earned a strong reaction from the crowd, even if it was scripted from the start. The annual Capcom Cup was always meant to close out with the Seth DLC character, but Capcom wanted to build a little excitement (and tease fans) beforehand.

As for Kenny Omega, his appearance was unexpected, but not exactly a surprise to anyone. Omega is an avid fan of video games and has integrated them into many aspects of his pro-wrestling career. Omega named his finishing move The One Winged Angel after Sephiroth, the main antagonist of Final Fantasy 7. His entrance music used to be Dr. Wily's stage theme from Mega Man 1 and he recently showed up to an AEW match dressed as Sans from Undertale. It was certainly nice to have someone who loves video games as much as Omega take part in one of the biggest events in video gaming.

Street Fighter 5 is available on PlayStation 4 and PC.
