KartRider: Drift is a free-to-play arcade kart racing game that features crossplay compatibility. As with most racing experiences, the success of the game depends on the fun and complexity of the tracks, something that developers Nexon certainly deliver on.

There are two different game modes in KartRider: Drift, Speed Mode and Item mode, but some of the best tracks are only available in Speed Mode. To unlock the more difficult and fun tracks, players will have to complete the three Licenses that are currently available B2, B1, and L3.

8 Forest: Zigzag Timberland

KartRider Drift Forest Zigzag Timberland Track

Although Forest: Zigzag Timberland doesn't possess any of the crazy features of other tracks on this list, it is just a great racetrack all around. As the first half of this traditional course is designed to be enjoyed at full speed, it is only available in Speed Mode.

After racing through a lush forest full of character, players will reach the zigzag part of the track, which is difficult enough to warrant the requirement of an L3 License for this track.

7 Desert: Construction Chaos

It is uncommon for racetracks to go up rather than down, but Desert: Construction Chaos makes it work. Though the track starts off fairly normally, players will soon find themselves navigating narrow and square 90-degree turns as they make their way to the top of the construction site.

While it is hard to do this at speed, the best racers make it possible and all players are rewarded with a big jump from the top at the end of each lap. Players can enjoy this track in Speed Mode after completing their L3 License.

6 Mine: Magma Cavern

With plenty of places to fall off, or push other players into the lava, Mine: Magma Cavern is easily one of the most fun tracks for Item Mode. In Speed mode with extra boosts, players will feel like they're on an old-fashioned rollercoaster on the straights.

Although there are a few tricky corners, the emphasis in Magma Cavern is more on other forms of chaos, making it the perfect map to play with friends. To play on this race track, players will need to receive their B1 License.

5 Glacier: Extreme Stadium

KartRider Drift Glacier Extreme Stadium Track

To reach the extreme stadium part of Glacier: Extreme Stadium players first have to make their way around a series of icy roads perfect for drifting. While this may not be the highlight of the track it separates the good drivers from the bad.

Once at the stadium, players will hear the crowd roar before being launched into a fast-paced trial of skill involving a slanted slalom and a massive jump. This is a Speed Mode-only track and due to its difficulty requires players to have passed their L3 License.

4 Desert: Ancient Aqueducts

The first thing racers will come across in Desert: Ancient Aqueducts are a series of 90-degree turns which can quickly thin out the competition. Beyond that players will have to control their drifts to avoid falling into pools of water which slow them down.

On the back end of each lap comes arguably the most fun part as players get to race on top of sand dunes, with the slopes acting as a backup in case players can't stay on top. This track requires an L3 License and is only available in Speed Mode.

3 Glacier: Polar Halfpipe

Glacier: Polar Halfpipe is one of the most fun tracks that are available in Item Mode as well as Speed Mode. Furthermore, as it only requires a B2 License, the first to be unlocked, it is more easily accessed.

The entire track takes place on an icy halfpipe with an option to race on an upper level if players use a boost to get up there. The highlight of the track is a tough hairpin turn which players must recover from as part of the track immediately cuts away.

2 Glacier: Snowbound Slopes

KartRider Drift Glacier Snowbound Slopes Track

Glacier: Snowbound Slopes is easily one of the most fun tracks on KartRider Drift as players race their way down a massive ski course. As this track is only available in Speed Mode after completing the L3 License, players will have their work cut out for them going around difficult and icy corners.

After completing the first lap players are in for a surprise as they will be taken back to the top via a ski lift for round two. The three large descents and navigable caves present the most fun on this track.

1 Mine: Winding Slopes

The Mine: Winding Slopes track is available in Speed Mode for players that have completed their L3 License. Unlike most other tracks in KartRider: Drift only one lap is needed on Winding Slopes due to its length and difficulty.

As players make their way downhill they will have to carefully manage their drifts and boosts on a track riddled with difficult corners and sharp turns. The quantity of shortcuts on this map also adds to the fun as players can try their luck via different routes to surprise their opponents.

KartRider: Drift is available now on PC and Mobile and is soon to be released for Xbox and PlayStation.
