Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat sustained a nasty injury during a recent video shoot, but ended up canceling his trip to the hospital after hearing about the premature Grand Theft Auto 6 reveal. As a result, Kai Cenat's livestream that was meant to be scrapped still took place on December 4 following a brief delay.

While Kai Cenat is known for playing a variety of games, GTA 5 and GTA Online are by far the most common subjects of his gaming broadcasts, having already accounted for hundreds of hours of his streams since he joined Twitch in 2021. The 21-year-old was thus unsurprisingly eager to watch the GTA 6 reveal trailer premiere, which was initially scheduled for December 5, at 9am ET.

A day after the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer goes live, developer Rockstar Games' YouTube channel receives almost two million new subscribers.

Shortly before the much-anticipated video dropped online, Kai Cenat sustained an injury while filming a video with his YouTube creator group AMP. Twitter fan account KaiMafiaUpdates reported that the streamer was hospitalized and would consequently be missing his December 4 broadcast, with Cenat seemingly confirming as much in a subsequent social media update, noting that he's eager to return as soon as possible because of the upcoming GTA 6 premiere. However, after his fans pointed out that Rockstar had already released the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer at that point, Cenat proclaimed that he'd definitely be "escaping" that night.

"Watch this," he wrote on Twitter, a few hours before managing to return home and going live on Twitch, contrary to what his fans were initially expecting to happen. Before delving into the GTA 6 trailer, the streamer explained that he never actually got to the hospital in the first place. Instead, he told whoever was driving him to turn the car around after learning that the GTA 6 trailer was already live.

It was blood everywhere.

As for what led him to that situation in the first place, the streamer revealed that he had sustained a nasty injury while filming a hockey video with AMP. "There was a part where I had to get physical," Cenat explained during his latest Twitch broadcast, noting how he'd like to avoid spoiling the actual contents of the shoot. What he did say was that somebody pushed him during the scene, causing him to fall flat on his face. His two front teeth consequently went through his lip, which caused quite a scene. "It was blood everywhere," Cenat recalled while talking into the camera and pointing at his visibly damaged lip.

The content creator hence managed to stream his reaction to the GTA 6 reveal on the day that it dropped. Around that time is when Cenat's long-time collaborator Adin Ross claimed he was cast in Grand Theft Auto 6, without elaborating on the matter.
