Kaguya-sama: Love Is War has taken the anime world by storm ever since its first season aired in 2019. Its exaggerated take on the usual rom-com formula hooked its watchers, and it has only grown in popularity since then. It is most definitely one of the most popular anime of the last few years.

Fans all over the world are now eagerly waiting for Kaguya-sama's upcoming third season to air later in 2022. Those who are already caught up with the manga are probably excited to see more of the Student Council's ridiculous antics and games. Here are some things fans are most hoping to see in the new Kaguya-sama season.

8 More Scenes Of Fujiwara Teaching Shirogane

One of the funniest segments of last season was of Chika Fujiwara trying to teach Miyuki Shirogane how to sing. It was a perfect storm of chaos, and it revealed sides of both characters that were unexpected. While it was short, it was a hilarious moment that left the audience in tears.

Readers of the manga know that there are many more scenes of Fujiwara teaching Shirogane to do various things, and each one is funnier than the last. A new season means there's a chance to see these scenes animated, and they are a gold mine of comedic moments.

7 Ai Hayasaka Being A Bigger Part Of The Story

Outside the Student Council, Kaguya Shinomiya has very few friends aside from Ai Hayasaka, who has served as her personal assistant since childhood. While she pretends to be an ordinary high school student at school, she helps Shinomiya out in the shadows with her romance.

Despite being the close friend of one of the main characters, Hayasaka has yet to play a large role in the story. She has made several appearances and interacted with other characters like Shirogane, but she hasn't yet made a significant impact on the story. Hopefully the new season will give her more opportunities to become more prominent as a character.

6 Shirogane's Family Getting More Appearances

While Shirogane's father and sister have already appeared in season 1, they made a few more notable appearances in season 2. They are both interesting and quirky characters, and they make the Shirogane household a lively place.

While they are generally supporting characters that don't have too much of an impact on the story, it would still be great to see Shirogane's father and sister more often. Shirogane's father in particular is always a great source of laughs, as his awkward attempts to connect with his young kids are both heartwarming and hilarious. Season 3 could provide more chances to see him in action.

5 More Of Fujiwara's Strange Games

Out of the main cast, one of the most recognizable characters is Chika Fujiwara and her tendency to do as she pleases. As a rabid lover of all kinds of games and toys, she often gets the Student Council wrapped up in whatever whimsy she's come up with.

As the new season begins to air, it's almost certain that there'll be another chance for Fujiwara to show off another one of her weird games. While these segments may not be a very plot-heavy, they provide a lot of the show's unique comedy style and show off the characters' vivid personalities.

4 Miko Iino Getting Closer To The Student Council

Miko Iino is a new character introduced in season 2, when she became the fifth member of the Student Council. She got off with the current Student Council on the wrong foot, and even now she still has some difficulty treating them as friends.

While Iino has yet to really become comfortable with the Student Council, she is slowly warming up to them. Still, she has trouble really connecting with them, and her relationship with treasurer Yu Ishigami is still incredibly antagonistic. Hopefully season 3 shows Iino getting closer with her fellow Student Council members, especially since she's going to be appearing more often.

3 More Romance Aside From The Main Couple

The ongoing game of "will they, won't they" between Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane forms the core of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War's story. Many fans watch the series with anticipation over when they'll finally be honest with their feelings and confess.

However, there are many other characters in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, and every one of them has a chance of romance themselves. Viewers have already seen the antics between Kaguya's classmate Nagisa Kashiwagi and her boyfriend. With more characters introduced in season 2, there are more possibilities of another romantic pairing. Season 3 could be a chance to introduce new romances into the story.

2 Ishigami Gaining More Confidence

The core plot of the last few episodes of season 2 was about Yu Ishigami and the troubled past that led him to become a socially withdrawn loner. During that arc, fans were able to see Ishigami come out of his shell a little as he interacted positively with his classmates.

With season 3 on the horizon, hopefully there'll be more chances for Ishigami to develop his relationships with other characters and become a more confident character. Naturally, no one expects Ishigami to turn into a bright, outgoing character overnight, especially after being a gloomy wallflower for so long. But it would be great to see Ishigami assert himself more.

1 Shinomiya & Shirogane Getting Together

There are a lot of great things about Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, from the exaggerated and hilarious comedic segments to the ridiculous way these eccentrically intelligent characters handle minor problems. However, this is a romance story, and the main long-running goal of this anime is to see Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane get together.

In the beginning, both of them were simply too proud to admit to their feelings, but it's been two seasons since then. Both characters have grown, and their feelings have only become more intense. It's only a matter of time before one of them decides to confess, and hopefully season 3 is when it'll happen.
