Ubisoft Forward, the first major publisher presentation of E3 2021, covered many of the company's biggest franchises, including Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs, and more. Of course, it wouldn't be a Ubisoft E3 event without a segment on Just Dance's latest game release, too, and Ubisoft didn't disappoint. Just Dance 2022 was featured in a lengthy segment that confirmed a November 4 release date. Additionally, a special partnership with singer/dancer Todrick Hall was confirmed.

Todrick Hall is a multitalented musician and dancer known for his work on RuPaul's Drag Race and his reality show participation on The Greatest Dancer and American Idol. Hall confirmed he was working with Ubisoft to exclusively feature a brand new version of Todrick Hall's song "Nails, Hair, Hips Heels."

Not only will Just Dance 2022 players be able to check out Todrick Hall's new song and dance in the game, but they'll have an opportunity to participate in the creation of the song's official music video. Fans will be able to vote on which Dance coaches get added to the music video, with more information to be shared on Ubisoft's Just Dance social media.

Ubisoft also confirmed that Just Dance 2022 will once again employ the franchise's Just Dance Unlimited subscription service. Subscribing grants access to a library of more than 700 songs, as well as new songs added throughout each year. Just Dance Unlimited costs just $3.99 a month, but new players can try it out for free with a one-month trial included with Just Dance 2022.

In a follow-up post to the announcement trailer, Ubisoft also detailed several classic Just Dance modes that will be returning in Just Dance 2022. First is Sweat Mode, an exercise mode that tracks calories burnt and time spent dancing. Co-op mode lets players dance as teammates. Quickplay mode is designed to get players into dancing as fast as possible, with no song selection necessary. Lastly, World Dance Floor is a competitive multiplayer mode that pairs players up with others of equal skill from across the world.

Just Dance 2022 is lining up to be one of the franchise's biggest game releases yet. It'll feature 40 new songs, including major pop releases and viral music that's gone internet famous. Some examples include Imagine Dragons' "Believer" and Ciara's "Level Up." Many more songs will be revealed in the months ahead.

Just Dance 2022 releases November 4 on PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
