New Jurassic World Dominion photos give fans their latest glimpse at Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum as their iconic Jurassic Park characters. This new sequel film is set to debut in theatres this upcoming June, with both old and new characters join forces to take on the incoming threat.

Jurassic World Dominion picks up right after where the last film, Fallen Kingdom, ended. The world of dinosaurs and humans has finally become intertwined without the presence of any safeguards, which means no electric fences, no cages and no security. Dinosaurs are here in the wild, and now humans have to adapt to their presence, as it's unsurprisingly going to change a lot.

Empire Magazine has done a feature story on Jurassic World Dominion by creating two different cover variants. One cover showcases the new group of heroes, which includes characters Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howards as Claire Dearing, Mamoudou Athie as Ramsay Cole and DeWanda Wise as Kayla Watts. The alternative cover features the veterans of Ellie Sattler (Dern), Alan Grant (Neill) and Ian Malcolm (Goldblum). The outlet also released a new photo featuring Dr. Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler in which the latter meets a baby triceratops.

Pratt and Howard have been the leading stars of the new trilogy, but this sequel will bridge the gap between Jurassic World and the original Jurassic Park movies. Seeing the original characters who started off this series of movies share the same screen as the new heroes is exciting to fans both old and new. It's going to take all hands on deck if they hope to do anything significant and stay alive in this new world where dinosaurs occupy the Earth. This new world will of course cause many new problems, as people have to be aware of their surroundings with the new apex predators taking over the environment. It's unclear how permanent these changes are in the world of Jurassic World.

The connection of these two worlds will open up a lot of possibilities that can cause significant lasting change, or it may be the back door pilot for a new trilogy of movies. The one thing the Jurassic World film series does each outing is set up the next plot. Hopefully, this film is the culmination of the past two films and focuses on achieving a good film rather than building up to something bigger. Regardless, it'll be a nice fun summer blockbuster for fans to see in the movie theaters.

Horror films are difficult to market to a wide audience, but the Jurassic Park films have typically done a good job at making the horror elements much easier to watch than in comparison to other thriller-type movies. Hopefully, this film finds a balance that works to its benefit while also allowing it to continue to push the boundaries of storytelling.

Jurassic World Dominion is slated for a June 10, 2022, theatrical release.
