While checking out the Junkbot skin for Junkrat in Overwatch 2, one player discovered a subtle and adorable detail. With Overwatch 2, Blizzard has adopted the live service model for its popular competitive shooter, ensuring that there is a constant supply of content whether that's through seasonal updates, new game modes such as the PvE Invasion missions, as well as limited time events. New heroes are also being added to the roster nearly each season, with the latest being a support hero named Illari.

However, a big focus for Blizzard seems to be with its microtransaction store, a constant source of controversy for Overwatch 2 since it launched last year. While there's been a constant outcry against some of the store prices set by Blizzard, things came to a head recently when Blizzard announced that the PvE Invasion Missions would be locked behind a paywall. Thankfully, Overwatch 2 does allow players to purchase many cosmetic through in game currency, though one of the more popular paid skins has now garnered more attention due to its unique little detail.

Over on the Overwatch subReddit, one player was looking through some of the available skins including the Junkbot legendary outfit for Junkrat, essentially turning him into an omnic version. However, the skin updates all elements of the character as well, giving him a metal tire for his ultimate, though looking closer reveals the new Rip-Tire model has a small sticker with adorable chibi versions of the Australian trio including Roadhog and Junker Queen. On the opposite side, there appears to be a carved rat as well, which many people have taken to be for "Junkrat"

The discovery has seen plenty of positive feedback and comments from other Overwatch 2 players who have missed the subtle detail. Many agree that even though Junkrat is seen as a violent character, he can be oddly wholesome at times. Others wondered why Hammond was left off entirely, considering that Wrecking Ball's backstory is heavily intertwined with the Australian Outback and the battle arena of the Scrapyard.

Cosmetic details such as this are becoming more and more common, as fans recently found a unique element to Ana's new A-7000 Wargod mythic skin. In addition to the new Omnic look and feel for the support hero, fans discovered that using the Beachball emote actually changes the ball to a more metalic and robotic looking version, matching the skin perfectly.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
