Some information about this summer's Xbox Games Showcase seems to have leaked out ahead of time, as sources have been drawn to believe it's going to be fairly long, all things considered. Though Xbox hasn't had a huge number of exciting new generational exclusives so far, this may well change over the course of 2023, with the Showcase itself spearheading the company's efforts. Now that E3 2023 is officially canceled, all eyes are on the individual companies' bespoke gaming shows, and the Xbox Games Showcase, which is slated for June 11, promises to set the standard in this regard. With games such as Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and Starfield in tow, Microsoft has every chance of drawing in quite the crowd, and sources now claim that there's plenty of content planned for the show.RELATED: Xbox Summer Showcase Confirmed for 2023According to Twitter leaker WalkingCat, this summer's Xbox Games Showcase will have two hours' worth of content in total, give or take, and it's due to kick off on June 11, 2023, at 22:00 PT. With two hours' worth of runtime, chances are good that many of Xbox's prime upcoming titles will get their own time in the sun. Arkane Studios' Redfall, for example, will be coming out on May 2, meaning it could get a shout out as part of this special event with a trailer or something else to continue marketing the game.

It's worth pointing out that WalkingCat's information subsequently got retweeted by Verge's Tom Warren, who corrected the original source's time slot from AM to PM. Further, Warren also added that he believes the main show is likely to take an hour and a half in total, with the remaining 30 minutes likely being dedicated specifically to Starfield. There have been rumors of a major Starfield gameplay showcase for some time now, so the estimate makes sense in this context.

Bethesda has a slightly strange launch window in mind for Starfield, of course. Notably, the game is supposed to come out on September 6, 2023, which is outside of Bethesda's usual mid-November launch plans that the company has otherwise stuck with over the years, as shown with Fallout 4, for example. Starfield has, of course, been subjected to a number of pushbacks over the years, betraying the game's apparent complexity long ahead of its release.

Finally, there's also the remarkably technically advanced Forza Motorsport. While most other big Xbox titles do have a firm release date already set, the next-gen Forza still has a tentative spring 2023 launch window, and this will be Xbox's chance to establish its actual release date, with the real possibility of it launching relatively shortly thereafter. Whatever the case may be, everything should be cleared up by June 11.
