Jujutsu Kaisen is currently in a very intense phase as the Culling Game continues. Previously, the series focused quite heavily on the fight between Gojo and Sukuna. These two characters went all out in what could easily be described as the very best battle in the entirety of JJK. After going on for months, the battle finally concluded in the previous chapter of the story, where Gojo was finally defeated and killed by Sukuna, who evolved in the middle of the battle and used a completely new technique to cleave him apart.

Although Gojo is dead, the fighting is not going to stop anytime soon. Immediately after his death, the fans were not even given proper time to mourn as yet another fighter, Hajime Kashimo, jumped in and prepared to fight against the King of Curses, Sukuna.

Kashimo's Cursed Energy

Kashimo is an incredibly powerful sorcerer from 400 years ago. In fact, he's one of the very few sorcerers who lived to see old age despite being as strong as he was. The vast majority of the sorcerers end up dying full of regrets and quite young. In the case of Kashimo, however, he lived until he was very old, and it is quite clear to see that he was feared as one of the strongest of his time, if not the strongest. However, right now, Kashimo is faced up against the strongest sorcerer of all time, and that is Ryomen Sukuna. Fans have not seen much of Kashimo as quite a lot of his strength is still kept a secret. However, fans do know that he possesses terrifying cursed energy.

In his fight against Hakari, it was easy to see that Kashimo possessed electrifying cursed energy. This means that his cursed energy has electrical properties and that only strengthens him even further. It makes it impossible to defend against his attacks. Even when blocked, the opponent gets electrocuted and faces quite a lot of trouble, as seen when he fought against Hakari. In his base form, Hakari was completely outclassed by Kashimo. What's more, he can also discharge his electrical cursed energy and this allows him to launch a sure hit attack without even needing to rely on Domain Expansion. This just goes to show how incredibly insane his abilities are and that Sukuna needs to be on his toes if he is to win against Kashimo.

Kashimo Vs Hakari

Kashimo's fight against Hakari was a perfect display of what he can and can't do. Fans know that he is easily one of the strongest players in the Culling Game and he was also the first one to be able to add a rule, which just goes to show how powerful he is. When Kenjaku approached him for participation in the Culling Game, it was clear to him that he was weaker than Sukuna, however, still a worthy fighter and definitely one of the strongest that would take part in his game. At the time, Kashimo was quite old, however, even at his old age, he was not to be underestimated. He could easily ravage entire battlefields and leave corpses everywhere. When returned to his youth, Kashimo's strength increased even further.

When he fought against Hakari, fans got a first look at what he could do in battle. In base form, Hakari could not do much against him and was completely outclassed in every single aspect of combat. However, when he started relying on his Cursed Technique and, eventually, lucked out with his power, only then was he able to defeat Kashimo. Yet, despite everything, Hakari was pushed to the extreme and this was without Kashimo even utilizing his cursed technique, which is believed to be extremely powerful. Hakari, as strong as he is, was not deemed worthy for him to utilize this power, and that speaks volumes about how powerful Kashimo truly is.

Kashimo's Cursed Technique

Kashimo's cursed technique is something that fans are very intrigued by. Fans know that he has an Innate Technique, however, they do not know what exactly this technique is. Throughout his exploits in the Culling Game, he has not relied on this power even once as he wants to save it for none other than the King of Curses, Sukuna.

It must also be remembered that this technique can only be used by him once. Had he relied on this power in the fight against Hakari, then he would certainly not have been able to utilize it against Sukuna. This only means that whatever he has up his sleeve is going to be a very big asset for him in battle and fans are incredibly excited to see it.

Just by using his cursed energy alone, he was able to push Hakari, a sorcerer deemed to be powerful enough to one day match Gojo, to the very extremes. When he refines the output of his cursed energy using his cursed technique, he will hit an entirely different level. Given that he is called the God of Lightning, it is likely to do with this aspect of power. Kashimo can, perhaps, enter an electrified state that increases his stats all across the board to great heights for a specific period of time. That, when combined with his sure hit technique only spells trouble for any fighter. Furthermore, if he is able to manifest his own domain and imbue it with his cursed technique, then he can possibly cause trouble for even someone as strong as Sukuna.

Kashimo Vs Sukuna

Hajime Kashimo ve Sukuna JJK

Kashimo versus Sukuna is the next fight that fans are incredibly excited to witness in the story. The first thing that fans should keep in mind is that Sukuna is currently in a very weakened state. His Reverse Cursed Technique is compromised and his healing would be extremely slow. He cannot use Domain Amplification and he has already lost the vast majority of his shikigami, including Mahoraga. To make things worse, he can also not manifest his Domain Expansion, Malevolent Shrine as he lost it, thanks to Gojo frying his brain. By all means, Sukuna is in a much weaker state, especially after the powerful Hollow Purple that Gojo used to blow up Shinjuku.

Meanwhile, Kashimo is relatively fresh and can go all out in the battle against Sukuna. He has his cursed technique as a trump card up his sleeve and his true power level has never been seen in the series. Although he is being underestimated, which is obvious, given that he's fighting the King of Curses, Kashimo might pull the rabbit out of the hat and surprise the fans. At the end of the day, if fans have to bet money on someone, they should bet on none other than Sukuna himself. Even if he is in a weakened state, he is absolutely expected to win once again. His cursed technique and the way he evolves in battle is nothing short of staggering and if he was able to defeat a monster such as Gojo, albeit with help from questionable writing, then he can surely do the same against Kashimo as well.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 237, is set to be October 1, 2023.
