Ryomen Sukuna has reincarnated into his true form in Jujutsu Kisen 237.

Unfortunately, he met his end quite quickly in the arc, immediately after Gojo had his rebirth and learned how to use Reverse Cursed Technique and, consequently, tap into the power of Red and Hollow Purple. However, that did not mark the end of the road for him. In the Shibuya Incident arc, Toji Fushiguro ends up making a grand return and this time, more lethal than ever before.

How Did Toji Fushiguro Die?

Toji Fushiguro played a major role in the Gojo's Past arc. Essentially, he was used by the author as a stepping stone for Gojo. At the time, Gojo was still learning the properties of his incredible Limitless power and he could not figure out how to utilize Red and, consequently, tap into even greater powers. The ability of Reverse Cursed Technique was foreign to him. Even though he knew it existed and also what it did, he was not able to utilize it himself. Shoko, one of Gojo's closest friends, was already a great user of Reverse Cursed Technique by this point.

However, Gojo himself had to go through a grueling experience to learn this power. Toji and Gojo clashed when the latter was retrieving the Star Plasma Vessel and the former came in to assassinate her. Of course, since Gojo was standing in his way, he had to go all out and, to this end, he brought out the strongest weapons that he had, such as the Inverted Spear of Heaven, which would allow him to bypass Limitless.

The fight between these two characters was absolutely incredible and it ended with Gojo being put in a near-death situation. Had Toji made the effort to finish him off, Gojo would have died that day. However, the only mistake that he made was to not stab the brain of Gojo and this allowed him to get back up once again, realizing what he needed to do to step up his game. Gojo learned how to perform Reverse Cursed Technique near death and healed completely. He also learned the ins and outs of Limitless: Red and, with that, he learned how to combine Red and Blue to create Hollow Purple. With Hollow Purple, he was easily able to defeat Toji and blasted a big chunk of his body, killing him in the process.

Who Is Granny Ogami - What Is The Seance Technique?

In the Shibuya Incident arc, fans are introduced to a very interesting character named Granny Ogami. Ogami is revealed to have allied with none other than Kenjaku as she holds quite some grudge against Gojo. At one point in the past, she indulged in quite a lot of criminal activities and made a living out of that. However, when Gojo was born, things changed for her. At one point, she took on a mission to assassinate Satoru, however, just a mere look from the young boy from the Gojo Family was enough to shake her to her very core.

However, with Gojo Satoru being sealed thanks to the Prison Realm, it was time for Granny Ogami to make her move once again. Of course, she would aid Kenjaku in whichever way she could and here, in the Shibuya arc, she stands as an antagonist once again, this time, making use of her fearsome Seance Technique.

Jujutsu Kaisen: The Fate of Megumi Fushiguro, Explained

Jujutsu Kaisen might have just lost one of its main characters, Megumi Fushiguro.

Using this technique, she can summon the body or soul information of anyone using their corpse. She can also turn herself or anyone who is willing to participate in a ritual into this person. In Shibuya, she uses this power to bring back Toji Zenin, by using her grandson as a willing participant. Little did she know that Toji would be way too overpowered and resist all control. In the end, her grandson is lost forever and she ends up dying at his hands as well.

The Return Of Toji Fushiguro In The Shibuya Arc

With the return of Toji Fushiguro, fans can once again see this magnificent fighter in his prime. Fans should remember that Toji was born with no cursed energy and, instead, he had a heavenly Restriction that boosted his physical attributes to the very max. He was a fighter like no other and he could move at speeds that could even put the strongest on their back foot. After his return, he was seen in action against the likes of Dagon. Previously, the combined forces of Maki, Nanami, Megumi, and Naobito Zenin could not even dent him. However, when Toji Fushiguro arrived on the scene, Dagon was immediately defeated within a matter of seconds. This just goes to show how incredibly powerful Toji Fushiguro was.

His return was marked with quite some confusion. Even though Naobito knew who he was, the others did not have much of an idea. Yet, they were all shocked at the fact that he could wield the Cursed Tools Of the Zenin Family incredibly easily. Taking Maki's tools and using them better than her was certainly a shock for her, however, little did she know that he had proficiency in almost every single weapon. In fact, it was shocking that he was without some of his strongest tools, such as the Inverted Spear of Heaven during this arc, yet such a threat.

How Toji Fushiguro's Story Concluded

Toji Fushiguro completely took over the body of Ogami's grandson at one point and it appeared that he had full control over his movements. However, as the story progressed, he became more of a zombie. His actions were that of a mindless person and he attacked everyone and anyone standing in his path. That is, until he met his own son, Megumi, and engaged him in combat. Of course, there was no comparison between these two characters. No matter how strong Megumi was, he was bound to fall in the battle against Toji.

However, before he could finally give in to this evil technique and kill everyone around him, he seemingly regained his senses once again. Knowing that the person standing in front of him was his son, he asked me his name, and hearing the boy say "Fushiguro" instead of "Zenin" as the family name certainly delighted him. He then proceeded to stab himself in the head and died on the spot. Megumi did not know who this person was and the only one who realized it, Naobito, ended up dying. Toji's character was full of mystery and intrigue right up until the very end. Despite that, fans thoroughly enjoyed him lighting up not one but two arcs in Jujutsu Kaisen. At the end of Shibuya, the character arc of Toji Fushiguro came to an end.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 238, is set to be October 8, 2023.
