Chapter 248 of the official Jujutsu Kaisen manga shocked many fans of the series with the introduction of Yuta in the battle against the King of Curses, Sukuna. However, after defeating Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of the current age, and following that up by eliminating other incredibly powerful prospects of the Jujutsu world in Kashimo and Higuruma, fans of the series are quite worried about the eventual clash between the two Special Grades.

However, this fight may not be as easy for Sukuna as many people think. Yuta is an extremely powerful sorcerer in his own right and possesses some of the highest Cursed Energy reserves in the entire franchise, leading to him having the greatest chance to defeat Sukuna after Gojo. Currently, many other factors make the battle somehow sway in Yuta's favor, so let's break down what these are and how he can defeat Sukuna!

Yuki Tsukumo might've been a side character but her departure from Jujutsu Kaisen struck some as having come a little too soon.

Sukuna Is Not In The Best Condition

It is no secret that Sukuna is the most powerful character in the history of Jujutsu Kaisen. Ever since the Heian Era, he has been terrorizing civilians and sorcerers alike because of his insurmountable strength that no one could ever hope to reach, something that is quite evident even today. In his various battles during the Culling Game, Sukuna has proven time and time again why he is the greatest sorcerer in history.

However, Gojo was someone else who was in the running for that title, as his battle against the King of Curses has effects that Sukuna is still suffering from. Despite unlocking his true form and appearing somewhat impossible to defeat, Sukuna cannot use his Domain Expansion due to his brain being almost completely fried in his battle with the Six Eyes user. Their constant Domain clashes proved to be too great for even the King of Curses to bear, as he still cannot use his ultimate attack.

Other than this, his Reverse Cursed Technique also isn't on the same level as it was previously because of the damage his brain received, leading to a far more ineffective usage of it. This has slowed down his healing abilities to a considerable degree, which is the reason he just transformed into his true form at the start of his battle against Kashimo, rather than just healing Megumi's body.

This is also strengthened by the fact that, despite not seeming like it, Sukuna is pretty tired. After constant battles against some of the strongest characters in the series, Sukuna has not stopped to rest even once. Even though he does not look tired, there is only so much he and his levels of Cursed Energy can take before they are depleted, so it may be a matter of time before it catches up to him.

Yuta Has The Best Support For This Fight

Despite Yuta's overwhelming strength, he is not the only one going up against the King of Curses. His introduction to the battlefield came after his successful mission of killing Kenjaku, and on his entrance, it is Rika who engages Sukuna directly. Rika is an anomaly in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen and is a being that is tied to Yuta and can store Cursed Tools and Techniques for him.

Known as the Queen of Curses, Rika is an extremely powerful Vengeful Spirit that is categorized as a Special Grade. She can be summoned by Yuta at any point and can also be used to fight from a distance or protect him from harm. Yuta can also use his 'Love Beam' attack by condensing his and Rika's Cursed Energy into an offensive attack that is strong enough to contend with Geto's Maximum: Uzumaki. Since then, however, Rika has undergone some visual changes as well, which may show her to have evolved to have gotten much stronger and Yuta has greater control over her.

Other than Rika, Yuji is still on the battlefield and has shown himself to be an incredible sorcerer. Ever since the Culling Game started, Yuji has improved drastically, as his strength has been acknowledged by Sukuna, and he has even learned Reverse Cursed Technique in under a month. Throughout the Shinjuku Showdown, Yuji has been the one to constantly battle with Sukuna and never stop in his pursuit to defeat him, despite being faced with incredible odds.

Sukuna has even acknowledged Yuji's indomitable will and fighting spirit, something that can greatly benefit Yuta and Rika in their fight against the villain. Moreover, the rest of the forces of Jujutsu High remain on the back burner, with Maki's whereabouts still being left ambiguous, leading many fans to think that she will eventually make her appearance in this fight.

Yuta's Own Mysterious Powers

Aside from everything else mentioned so far, Yuta's powers and Cursed Technique will help immensely in the battle against Sukuna. Though it hasn't been shown to its strongest and most refined degree, Yuta's Cursed Technique of copying the abilities of other sorcerers holds the most potential of any other technique in the series, and because of this, he can prove himself to be the ultimate counter to the Fallen One.

Yuta showed the ability in the amazing three-way fight that he had against Ryu and Uro, where he initially used Inumaki's Cursed Speech on them. After doing this, he was able to close the distance and deal even more damage, eventually copying Uro's Cursed Technique of folding the sky and using it masterfully in his very first time with it.

The way that this copy ability is manifested or the extent to which Yuta can use it is unclear. However, going off of how the copy ability is used so far in the series, it seems as if Yuta can use these stolen abilities to their fullest degree and the only thing that may serve as a bit of a limiter for him in this regard is his understanding of the technique, since his own Cursed Energy is needed to use the stolen technique in the first place.

The possibilities for this are endless, as Yuta can copy even the abilities of Gojo to defeat Sukuna, using Limitless as best as he can to destroy the villain with it. Manifesting Gojo's powers to defeat the one who killed him would also have a great narrative thread to tie the whole thing together or, better yet, Sukuna's Dismantle and Cleave could be copied and potentially used against him as well!

Jujutsu Kaisen can be streamed on Amazon Prime and Netflix.
