Among the jujutsu sorcerers, the special grade sorcerers are the elite few who possess immense power and skill that allows them to stand at the peak of all beings.
The special grade jujutsu sorcerers are even stronger than the special grade cursed spirits since the ratings for the sorcerers are higher than that of cursed spirits. Here are all the special grade jujutsu sorcerers and their abilities, accomplishments, and overall impact on the story of Jujutsu Kaisen.
4 Geto Suguru
Geto Suguru is a primary antagonist in Jujutsu Kaisen. He was a former student of Jujutsu High, and during his time there, he became Gojo Satoru’s classmate, best friend, and biggest rival. He developed an undying hate for humans after being ostracized and abused by non-sorcerers in his childhood for being different. He is responsible for the infamous Shibuya Incident, with over a hundred civilian casualties and is known as the worst curse user, commanding a high level of fear and respect from friends and foes alike for the danger he poses to humanity. Geto was once considered on par with Gojo Satoru while they were both students due to his impressive abilities.
He possesses an extensive collection of cursed spirits with various unique abilities and immense cursed energy reserves that allow him to manipulate them easily. In combination with that, he is also a heavy hitter in close combat, with quick reflexes that sets him apart from the average shikigami user. He often uses that to his advantage allowing him to catch opponents off-guard. He also employs the Playful Cloud, a special grade cursed tool in the form of a three-section staff. Geto also possesses a great intellect that translates to battle IQ, enabling him to stay one step ahead of his opponents. He can also combine his collected curses into a devastating attack, like in his fight against Yuta.
3 Yuki Tsukumo
Yuki Tsukumo is one of the world's only four special grade jujutsu sorcerers. She rarely gets involved with missions and Jujutsu High except of her own volition due to her and the higher-ups not seeing eye to eye. She believes the proper way of stopping curses is to investigate the root of their existence and prevent them from manifesting. She was the mentor of Aoi Todo and taught him almost all he knew about Jujutsu, including using a Simple Domain as a countermeasure against domain expansions.
She is an extremely tough and durable woman whose gruesome training methods are responsible for Todo’s scar. She is mainly a melee fighter who combines her martial arts techniques with her technique to wreak havoc with her fists. The title of special grade was bestowed upon her based on reputation, as the Jujutsu High higher-ups know nothing about the extent of her power. Yuki’s cursed technique named Star Rage allows her to give herself and her shikigami, Garuda, virtual mass, increasing the force behind her hits infinitely and allowing her to easily blow special grade spirits away. Her Simple Domain creates a barrier that renders all cursed techniques within it useless.
2 Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta Okkotsu was initially a cursed human before enrolling in Jujutsu High and becoming a sorcerer. He learned to channel the power of the special grade cursed spirit Rika who haunted him and became one of the revered special grade jujutsu sorcerers. He turned Rika, his childhood friend, and love interest, into a curse when she died when he rejected her death and refused to accept it, highlighting the innate power he possessed as a result of being one of Michizane Sugawara’s descendants and a distant relative of Gojo Satoru.
Yuta can tap into Rika’s immense cursed energy and easily perform advanced cursed techniques. He can also utilize his acute cursed energy control to strengthen his body with enormous amounts of cursed energy and make his attack patterns hard to read. He can match Yuji’s speed, reflexes, and strength when he enhances his body with cursed energy. He can also easily perform the reversed cured technique repeatedly, a feat that only Gojo can replicate. He can use it to heal himself and others and also pull off crazy feats like reversing the death of Yuji. He is also capable of using the power of Rika to copy cursed techniques, even those peculiar to a specific lineage, and he has shown to be able to use Takako’s Sky Manipulation, Toge Inumaki’s Cursed Speech, and Dhruv Lakdwalla’s Shikigami Summoning. He has also mastered swordplay, which he often combines with jujutsu.
1 Gojo Satoru
The titular Gojo Satoru is widely known as the strongest jujutsu sorcerer alive. He is the ceiling of power in Jujutsu Kaisen, and his birth shifted the balance in the Jujutsu Kaisen world. Being the first member of the Gojo Family to be born with both the Six Eyes and the Limitless for the first time in four hundred years, cursed spirits that were born after that had to be stronger just to even the scale. Due to the Six Eyes, he can reduce the cursed energy required to activate techniques to near nothing, allowing him to perform techniques consecutively without running out of cursed energy while fighting. It allows him to use his incredible Domain Expansion technique multiple times daily and perceive the world around him in quantities like mass, speed, energy, and other factors. It is used in conjunction with his Infinity technique which can slow any attack down infinitely so that it never touches him.
He can use the reverse cursed technique to heal himself and make the positive energy flow into Infinity to create his Red and Hollow Purple techniques. He can also combine Black Flash with his incredible martial arts, beating special grade cursed spirits Jogo and Hanami into submission. His Limitless technique, inherited from the Gojo family, allows him to control space through cursed energy manipulation on an atomic level. His Blue technique derived from this allows him to create a vacuum akin to a black hole, dragging all matter in and crushing it. The Red technique involves the use of cursed technique reversal technique to create a force that repels all matter, and the Purple is a combination of both effects, instantly erasing all matter in its proximity.
