Inherited Cursed Techniques are techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen that are not formed from the characters' minds. So what are they?

Yuji and Megumi

When Opposites Attract

Yuji and Megumi Jujutsu Kaisen

Megumi was the first sorcerer that Yuji had ever met and the one who tried to save his life from the curses rampaging through the school. This was the foundation for their friendship, which would only go on to get even stronger as Yuji's loud and lively personality was the perfect contrast to Megumi's darker and more serious one. This relationship would be even more fun to see with the addition of Nobara.

Seeing Megumi's seriousness in trying to keep up with the hilarious and over-the-top antics of Yuji was always hilarious to witness, but the friendship runs even deeper as it is built on respect and love for one another. Yuji and Megumi are close friends and both perfectly embody the friendship and personalities of Gojo and Geto and how they used to be when they were young.

Whenever they have gone on missions together, Yuji and Megumi have typically had different ways of dealing with things. Despite this, however, Megumi clearly shows his care for Yuji by how devastated he got after the Detention Center, where Sukuna seems to have killed Yuji.

Yuji and Nobara

Best Friends Till the End

Yuji's friendship with Nobara is the exact opposite of his friendship with Megumi. This is because Nobara is just Yuji 2.0, in the sense that both of their personalities are exactly the same and they are always hilarious to witness when they're around each other. Whenever the 2 of them team up to tease Megumi, it is always a highlight and shows why the chemistry shared by the main trio is so amazing.

Nobara was a fun and incredibly reliable character who had access to a great Cursed Technique. Despite her unfortunate fight against Mahito, she proved that she could hold her own against a very strong opponent and her move set complimented Yuji's perfectly, allowing him to acknowledge that he is not alone in the world. The best part about their relationship is how they treat each other. Due to Nobara being the girl in the trio, it was expected for them to have romantic feelings for one another, but instead, they just treat each other and Megumi like best friends and nothing more.

Yuji and Todo

Two Kindred Spirits on the Same page

yuji-todo

Going from one hilarious and hyperactive duo to one that's even better, Todo and Yuji are perhaps the most hilarious and arguably most iconic duo in the entire franchise. The 'besto friendos' were initially enemies that fought at the Goodwill Event, but after finding out what kind of women Yuji liked, Todo knew he found a kindred spirit, leading to a friendship that is one for the anime history books.

Todo and Yuji have differing Cursed Techniques, but they both prefer up-close and personal combat situations, due to which they compliment each other like no one else and their team-ups always lead to some of the best fights in the entire series. Todo also serves the role of a bigger brother and a mentor to Yuji, bringing the best out of him and guiding him to even greater levels of strength. This was best seen when Todo helped Yuji attain his Black Flash against both Special Grade Disaster Curses, Mahito and Hanami.

In the fight against Hanami, the two of them seemed to share a psychic link where they knew exactly what they had to do and how to best work with the other without even needing to say so. In the fight against Mahito, it was largely the same thing when Todo was the one who helped Yuji get out of his hole and teaming up with him for one of the best fights in all of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Gojo and Megumi

More Than Just Student & Teacher

Gojo and Megumi have a very special kind of relationship, more than just one of student and teacher. While Gojo is very close to all 3 of his students and treats them all the same, his relationship with Megumi stems from how his fallout with Geto changed his outlook on the world and how he took up the responsibility of seeing to Megumi as Toji's dying wish, despite being enemies with the Sorcerer Killer.

After Toji's death, Gojo went to Megumi to ensure that he would never be sent to the Zenin family. He wanted to somewhat raise Megumi himself, instilling within him a lot of his values and harboring his potential, something which was seen in many flashbacks, where Gojo would be teaching Megumi about his powers. Though this wasn't seen very much, Gojo and Megumi's relationship was always loved by fans.

Gojo and Yuji

A Rolemodel-Mentor Relationship

gojo-yuji

Going off from the last point, Gojo is more like Yuji's friend than his teacher. The strongest sorcerer of the modern age is a child at heart, something which can be seen with the hilarious antics that he partakes in with Yuji and Nobara, specifically when their target is Megumi.

These are the very best quotes said by Gojo Satoru in JJK.

Despite his immature behavior, Gojo is the perfect role model in terms of strength, knowledge and experience for the students to look up to when he needs to be. Due to him being the strongest, he can afford to have an aloof and hilarious personality where he jokes around all the time, but he can also switch up to be serious and incredibly powerful when the situation arises, always being there for Yuji and training him to use his cursed energy.

Gojo and Geto

A Tragic Friendship Not Built to Last

jujutsu-kaisen-season-2-gojo-geto-humor

By far the most iconic duo in all of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gojo, and Geto embody everything that makes this kind of dynamic work. Though they are fundamentally different characters who want different things, they were both defined by being the strongest, a title that was shared by only themselves because of their immense levels of power that put them on a different level from everyone else.

However, by sharing the title of the strongest, Geto and Gojo had effectively isolated themselves from the rest of the world because no one could understand them, except each other. Due to this, they were more like brothers than actual best friends, and the way they worked and fought together was the perfect example of why this was. This mutual understanding and companionship of theirs was the fundamental building block of their friendship.

However, this duo was not to last. Over the events of the Hidden Inventory arc, Geto and Gojo would come face to face with many different obstacles that would challenge and eventually change their preconceived ideals and opinions of the world. Gojo would go from a sorcerer who cared only for strength to one who sympathized with others, whereas the exact opposite would happen for Geto, causing their friendship to fall apart and them to be thrown into wildly different paths in life. Despite this, however, Geto and Gojo would always care for one another until their last days.

Jujutsu Kaisen can be streamed on Amazon Prime and Netflix.
