Kenjaku Vs Takaba Wraps Up

For the past few weeks, JJK has been extensively focusing on the fight between Takaba and Kenjaku. Takaba was a side character in the Culling Game arc and fans were certainly intrigued by the role that he played in the story. Born as a comedian, Takaba only wanted to make more friends and, in his mind, being funny and doing comedy brought people closer to him. As such, he dedicated his entire life to that and, everything that he did in his life led to him being present in the fight where he put every belief of his on the line.

This fight was certainly an incredibly bizarre clash for the fans to witness. Takaba and Kenjaku ended up fighting quite an exciting battle and one that had fans questioning what they were witnessing in the first place. Nonetheless, it was certainly very funny and offered an entertaining view at JJK, which was much-needed, in some aspects.

This fight continued for quite a few chapters and fans immediately knew that if it was being given this much importance, that would mean that Gege has big plans for these characters. Of course, none of the fans had predicted the outcome that would then follow in JJK chapter 243. In this week's chapter, Takaba and Kenjaku performed together and as that happened, Takaba his life felt fulfilled. This was always his dream and now, he had lived it to the very best. He brought the best out of his cursed technique forward and, with that, his life goals were essentially complete.

Towards the end of the play, Takaba realized that this was the end and he certainly enjoyed his time with Kenjaku. Kenjaku also affirmed that he enjoyed his time with Takaba as well and, with that, the latter ended up passing away in a very peaceful manner. Before he died, Kenjaku told him that he was certainly an incredibly funny guy.

How Takaba Died

Takaba's death is quite confusing to the fans in many ways. Fans know that he didn't receive any major injuries during his fight against Kenjaku at all. However, at the end of it all, he still ended up dying, or at least that's what the story tells the readers at this point. Simply put, Takaba's death is connected to his cursed technique. Fans know that Takaba has a cursed technique that allows him to bring to reality anything that he thinks is funny. Essentially, the play that he created was thought by him to be peak comedy and, as a result, everything that he imagined turned into a reality. This means if Takaba imagined that he died following the successful show that he did with Kenjaku, then he would also die in real life. Takaba is likely to have died a very peaceful death and, given that Kenjaku himself told him that he was quite a funny guy only confirms that even further.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami Drops Major Hint About Gojo's Return

Gojo Satoru's return is clear in JJK.

It was following the fight between Takaba and Kenjaku that one of the most surprising things happened in the Culling Game arc of JJK. Essentially, Yuta, a beloved character who fans know to hold tremendous potential, stepped onto the battlefield and launched a sneak attack on Kenjaku. As one of the greatest villains in JJK, fans would expect Kenjaku to notice this strike and defend against it. However, he was unable to see through it and, as a result, paid a huge price for it.

Yuta Attacks Kenjaku

JJK chapter 243 saw Yuta attack Kenjaku from behind. This attack took Kenjaku by surprise, especially because Yuta is a character beaming with cursed energy. His cursed energy reserves are known to be almost bottomless and, for a character such as himself to sneak up on Kenjaku and attack him should have been impossible. However, it is then that Kenjaku puts two and two together and realizes that this attack was only made possible by Takaba. Takaba's technique had such a grip on him that Kenjaku was immersed in it completely. He could not deduce any source of cursed energy moving closer to him or even landing an attack on him. Takaba made this possible by becoming a bait, essentially, opening the way for Yuta to land a powerful attack on him and defeating him for good. In a way, this is Takaba's victory against Kenjaku, just as much as it is Yuta's victory against him.

In JJK chapter 243, Yuta snuck up on him from behind and before Kenjaku could even respond, he had his head cleanly sliced off his body. No matter what trick Kenjaku tried to pull, he realized that it would all be futile and that his end was finally here. Suguru and his body would now find peace as well, since Kenjaku cannot abuse the body anymore.

The Death Of Kenjaku

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 243 has finally opened up the door for Kenjaku's death. Fans know that Kenjaku is one of the main villains in JJK and that is precisely why this death comes as a big surprise to the fans. Nobody expected Kenjaku to die such an early death and, what's more shocking is the fact that it came absolutely out of nowhere. Fans do not know much about Kenjaku just yet and for him to die such an anti-climactic death is somewhat of a disappointment. However, all hope is not lost just yet, since Kenjaku isn't dead officially. Fans know that Suguru has had his head cut off, and that means Kenjaku can no longer make use of his body. However, it must be remembered that Kenjaku is simply a brain.

Unless Yuta stabs the brain and exorcizes it completely, Kenjaku is still alive. Perhaps, he will make an escape from here and take some other body under his control. Perhaps, he will end up dying. Fans do not know for sure what will happen with the character of Kenjaku and will have to wait to see what direction Gege leads this story in. For what it's worth, his last words certainly made it seem like he was dying as, after everything unfolded, Kenjaku mentioned that he was so close to his goals and yet failed at the last step. However, it doesn't appear that he is worried since he said someone else will come and inherit his will and that seems to imply an ominous end for his character.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 243, is set to be November 26, 2023.
