Itadori awakened many powers in the Shinjuku Showdown Arc, specifically during the timeskip. During this time, thanks to Ui Ui’s swapping ability, he was able to get other people inside his body and drill different arts into him. For instance, Kusakabe was able to drill the power of a Simple Domain into his body. Simple Domain is a great way to counter Domain Expansion, and Yuji utilized the New Shadow Style in the battle against Sukuna rather recently. On top of that, Choso was able to feed Yuji the Death Paintings number Four to Nine. Because of that, Yuji gained access to Blood Manipulation and this cursed technique is now accessible to him, as has been evident in the battle against Sukuna.

On top of that, Yuji has also gained the power to use reverse cursed technique, and thanks to the ability of Blood Manipulation, Yuji can easily convert cursed energy into blood, which means that he can heal by making use of cursed energy when compared to other Sorcerers.
While all this is incredible, Yuji's biggest power-up that he received rather recently came after he hit a black flash against Sukuna. Because of this black flash, Yuji unlocked his latent potential and was able to bring out the Shrine cursed technique. As fans know, the Shine is a powerful cursed technique that is also wielded by Sukuna. This cursed technique allows Sukuna to utilize the power of Cleave, Dismantle, and other techniques, such as the World Splitting Dismantle, which can chop anyone into pieces. Now, Yuji has access to the same cursed technique, and he has already utilized it in battle against Sukuna.
Yuji was able to cut a pillar with his cursed technique the moment he awakened it, and he also tried to chop off Sukuna's leg, although he failed at doing that because the King of Curses intervened before that could happen. It must also be noted that Yuji's usage of the Shrine cursed technique is rather different from Sukuna. This is because of different eras, and of course, different individuals utilizing the ability. There are bound to be differences. For instance, Sukuna's usage of the technique is incredibly indiscriminate, and he simply chops up whatever is in his path. Yuji, on the other hand, is more precise.
He utilizes his hand to draw scissor markings around the areas that he wants to cut, and immediately after, that part of his enemy is chopped off. His usage is less lethal, however, just as exciting as that of Sukuna. That said, Yuji still needs to train a lot to make sure that his usage of the Shrine cursed technique reaches the same level as that of Sukuna, the King of Curses.

The question of whether Yuji can manifest a domain expansion or not is rather subjective. It depends on whether the author wants to give him this power or not. At the very least, it wouldn't be inexplicable for Yuji to gain this power. Given that he has already manifested simple domains and has access to incredibly powerful cursed techniques, Yuji manifesting a domain expansion would not be out of the ordinary.

In fact, if anything, Yuji should be able to gain this power very soon. This is down to the fact that Yuji wants to surpass Sukuna. Sukuna himself admitted the fact that Yuji is trying to get on his level, while the editor of the series not only went on to say that Yuji intends to fight on the same level as Sukuna, but actually go on to surpass him.
Sukuna has two types of slashing attacks. The Default slash, Dismantle. And the other one, Cleave, which can be adjusted according to the target's toughness and cursed energy levels to cut them down in one fell swoop.
This is a massive statement and for Yuji to be able to fulfill it in this arc of JJK, he needs to manifest a domain expansion, first of all. As such, the answer to the question whether Yuji can manifest a Domain Expansion or not is yes. He absolutely can utilize this power, and it is only a matter of time before he will be able to use it. Yuji is set to become the strongest sorcerer at the end of the series, especially of the modern era, after the death of Gojo.

Naturally, one would wonder as to what Yuji's Domain Expansion would entail. Fans first need to understand the idea that Yuji can actually go two different ways when it comes to Domain Expansion. This is down to the fact that he has two different cursed techniques in his body. Yuji can either utilize the power of a Blood Domain, which would be a very cool idea, or, he can manifest in the power of Malevolent Shrine, which is the same ability that Sukuna utilizes as well.
Malevolent Shrine differs from other domains in that it doesn't create a separate space using a barrier, akin to an artist painting not on a canvas, but on air. truly, a divine technique.
While a Blood Domain would certainly be incredibly amazing for the fans to see and could still happen in the series, so would Malevolent Shrine from Yuji. In fact, Yuji's Domain Expansion might not even be called Malevolent Shrine, because there are inherent differences between the Shrine curse technique that he wields and the one that Sukuna wields. Yuji utilizes scissors while Sukuna utilizes his cooking knives. There are two different cutting techniques at play here, which means that Yuji's domain expansion could be completely different, and its name might not even be Malevolent Shrine. However, essentially, it would do the same thing.
Another thing that the fans need to keep in mind right now is that Yuji will easily be able to manifest a Domain Expansion because he has shared his body with Sukuna. Sukuna's Jujutsu is engraved in Yuji's body, and that in itself means that he knows how to perform it. Sukuna also performed the Divine Flames technique on Yuji, and once again, this just means that all Yuji needs to do is to realize how to utilize it and the rest will come automatically to him. All these things should come easy to Yuji, and in his fight against Sukuna, he absolutely has to tap into these powers in order to get rid of the King of Curses. Once Sukuna emerges victorious, fans can then see Yuji ascend to the next level and become the strongest modern sorcerer.
