The Shibuya arc of Jujutsu Kaisen has been absolutely incredible for the fans so far. This ark is, quite easily, the best one in the entire series, even including the arcs that succeed it. As with many other story arcs in JJK, the Shibuya Incident arc sees quite a lot of characters meet their end.

This, of course, includes major characters from both the sides of the Cursed Spirits as well as the Sorcerers. All these major deaths are part of what makes this arc so incredible and quite a lot of them had a profound effect on not just a story but the many characters that survived.

8 Kokichi Muta

Kokichi Muta

Kokichi Muta was one of the first characters to meet his end in the Shibuya arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. He fought against Mahito in quite an intense battle and, it is safe to say that he did his best. After his body was restored, he showcased what he was capable of to the fans and surprised even the spectator Kenjaku.

He put up and incredible fight and it was only thanks to him that the events of Shibuya could somewhat be rescued. In the end, he did not make it out alive, however, he did have a contingency plan which he used with Yuji.

7 Hanami

Hanami was one of the powerful curses who fans are very familiar with. Hanami appeared in season 1 when they fought against Todo and Yuji together. This time around, Hanami fought against Gojo in Shibuya. Unfortunately for them, that's fight did not end very well.

Hanami was absolutely crushed by Gojo, who utilised the power of his limitless to blow them up to smithereens.

6 Dagon

Dagon fought and incredible battle against four powerful sorcerers in Maki, Naobito, Nanami, and Megumi. Against all odds, Dagon held his own very well and pushed back these powerful fighters.

When Toji was brought back using the Seance technique, Dagon could no longer keep up. He was eventually defeated and killed subsequently.

5 Jogo

Jogo is another one of the powerful curses who took part in the Shibuya Incident arc. At first, he, along with Hanami, clashed against Gojo. Jogo managed to survive this fight, however, later on, he came face to face with Sukuna, after he fed the fingers to Yuji.

These cursed techniques are the most dangerous to face in JJK.

Unfortunately for him, this ended up being his demise. He was forced into combat against Sukuna and, even though he tried his best, he failed to defeat him, which was expected. Jogo died in this fight, however, not before his strength was acknowledged by Sukuna.

4 Naobito Zenin

Naobito Zenin was one of the strongest sorcerers who took part in the events of the Shibuya arc. He fought against Dagon in a very intense battle and it was quite clear to see that he was far outclassed by the curse.

Even when he had major help from everyone around him, he struggled and received major injuries. In the end, it was Toji who ended up doing everyone's work for them, however, Naobito himself didn't die immediately. When all the fighting concluded, it was revealed that he succumbed to his wounds and finally died.

3 Nanami

Nanami played a major role in the Shibuya incident arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. He fought incredibly hard against all those he came across.

Even in the fight against Dagon, he did very well, however, he was largely outclassed. Later on, he came face to face with Mahito, who ended up killing him right in front of Yuji, setting the stage for this incredible fight.

2 Nobara

Nobara also joined the fighting in Shibuya, although a bit later than the likes of Yuji. She ended up trading blows against Mahito, who had split his body in two. Nobara did very well against one of his bodies, however, a small miscalculation led to her demise. In the end, she fell victim to Idle Transfiguration, using which Mahito ended up killing her.

It must be remembered that her death hasn't been officially confirmed. However, she hasn't appeared in the story for quite a long time, which likely suggests that she has, indeed, died.

1 Mahito

Mahito caused a lot of chaos in the Shibuya Incident arc of Jujutsu Kaisen. He was responsible for some major deaths, as discussed above, however, he was not able to survive either. Mahito fought against many characters and his most significant battle came against Yuji and Todo. These two characters combine very well against Mahito, forcing him to evolve his skills as well.

However, despite him hit a new levels of power, he was not able to beat their teamwork. Mahito was utterly crushed and, at the end, he was absorbed by Kenjaku, who had always wanted access to his Idle Transfiguration.
