In the previous chapter, fans got to witness the miraculous return of Gojo, right when they least expected it. Jujutsu Kaisen: Gojo's Strength After Revival, Explained

Gojo made his return in JJK. Will his strength be the same, or is he stronger than before?

The clear answer to that will be provided to the fans soon enough, but right now, all they can do is theorize and figure out by themselves as to how this was made possible.

Possibility 1: Gojo Made A Binding Vow

Gojo Could've Made A Sacrifice To Return

The very first possibility as to how Gojo made a return is likely through a Binding Vow. Fans know that Binding Vows have been utilized excessively over the course of the last few chapters in JJK. These Binding Vows have been used by Sukuna most of all, but other sorcerers have utilized them too. For example, Todo, in the previous chapter, utilized a Binding Vow, to affect the usage of his Boogie Woogie Cursed Technique as well. Similarly, many other characters have utilized a Binding Vow in the story, and it is entirely possible that Gojo was using one as well.

As to what the Binding Vow could be, the answer is clear. Gojo could have sacrificed one of his Six Eyes in order to facilitate a return. The Six Eyes are one of the greatest powers in the entirety of JJK, and for a price this massive, Gojo could potentially have made a return possible. This would weaken him greatly in terms of overall strength, but, at the same time, it would also mean that Gojo lives. The exchange seems fair, and the chances for this theory being true are significantly boosted by the fact that fans only saw one of Gojo's eyes in the last panel of the chapter. While his left eye is clearly visible, his right eye doesn't seem to be there at all. Of course, this is just an idea, but one that fans should keep in mind at this point in time.

Possibility 2: Shoko Healed Gojo

Shoko Could've Used Reverse Cursed Technique To Save Gojo

The second possibility, and quite easily one of the likeliest ones, is that Shoko managed to heal Gojo and that he is now back. Fans know that after Gojo was cut using the World Splitting Dismantle, his body was taken to Shoko. This was confirmed by Sukuna himself. Fans know that Gojo's body was looked at by Shoko. It is also known that others, such as Utahime, who can help the process of amping one, and in this case, Shoko, would make a difference here as well. Shoko can use reverse cursed technique, and she can also heal others with this ability. As such, it is entirely possible for Shoko to have pushed herself beyond all her limits and utilized the best of her abilities to bring Gojo back.

Probably, that kid a cursed technique for teleporting. The reason why Gojo's corpse disappeared is because of that.

With amps from Utahime, and possibly a Binding Vow as well, Shoko could have made Gojo's return possible. By healing his chopped up body, Shoko could then have allowed Gojo to use his own reverse cursed technique on himself, which fans know was fully back moments before he died. Then, Ui Ui would have teleported him back to the battlefield right in front of Sukuna so a return could have been facilitated. This is an entirely valid idea with nothing going against it at this point in time. Fans should also keep this in mind while waiting for JJK chapter 261.

Possibility 3: Ino's Seance Is At Work

Ino Could've Summoned Gojo's Soul

Another possibility that could have made Gojo's return possible is the Seance technique of Ino. Fans know that Ino utilizes the Seance technique, which they have seen previously as well. In Shibuya, another user of Seance made the return of Toji Fushiguro possible. Toji was referred to as a ghost by Naobito as well, and something similar could be possible here. If Ino's Seance made it possible for Gojo's soul or his ghost to appear in front of Sukuna, then, fans are in for an exciting fight where Gojo's ghost will take part in the fight.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Did Gojo Make A Binding Vow To Return?

Gojo might have sacrificed his right eye to return in JJK. Did Satoru use a binding vow?

While this possibility isn't as solid as the other ones, it is something that fans do have to look at when considering all the ways that Gojo could have potentially used to come back to life.

Possibility 4: Gojo Set Up Something Before Dying

Gojo Could've Made Preparations Before The Battle

An out-of-the-box idea is that Gojo potentially set this up before he even died. Now, this might be surprising to some fans, but it is entirely possible for Gojo to have set a delayed Unlimited Void to be triggered at some point later down the line. It is possible that these conditions were now met and Gojo was able to utilize his domain. However, this possibility is very unlikely. This is simply down to the fact that Gojo lost his domain and could not utilize it at all after one point in the battle.

As such, for him to plot a domain and have it be used later doesn't seem to be all that likely. Still, there could be many ways this could have been made possible, and, hopefully, fans will find out an answer to the question soon enough. For now, this is another possibility, although a weak one, that fans need to consider.

How Did Gojo Really Return?

Gojo's Return Could Go In Any Direction

Out of all these possibilities, any could be true. However, it is safe to say that some of them are very unlikely. For instance, Gojo using a delayed Unlimited Void doesn't seem to be all that possible. This is simply down to the fact that it doesn't make much sense for him to do this, especially because fans know that his domain was lost after the multiple times that he utilized it. Even if he planted this before, Gojo knew that he was fighting a life-and-death battle, and even wasting his technique like that, when it could have made a difference in the battle had he had one more domain expansion just makes no sense whatsoever.

Sukuna had seen...what his hands had buried. The ghost of the strongest!

The possibility of Ino bringing him back using Seance also doesn't make much sense. This is because Ino was transported outside of the domain not that long ago. For him to just come back when he was removed from battle by the author himself also doesn't make much sense. It must also be noted that the range of Sukuna's domain is quite massive. Ino is far away and could not have possibly made it back in just a few seconds of Sukuna's domain crumbling. The likeliest possibilities here are Gojo being made to come back to life by Shoko, or, him using a Binding Vow to come back to life.
