Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami Drops Major Hint About Gojo's Return

Fans know that Gojo is an incredibly beloved character who is adored by the entire fanbase. In fact, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Gojo is the face of the entire series and his death has shocked countless fans at the same time. It is also not a surprise that fans are already wondering as to how Gojo can return to the story. While his return seems like a real possibility, how he will return isn't set in stone. Recently, the developments that took place in JJK suggest that Gojo might return as a villain, after all.
Gojo's Death
Gojo was sealed in Shibuya by none other than Kenjaku. After he was sealed away, quite a lot of big events took place in the world of JJK and, quite easily, the biggest of them all was the Culling Game being set up. As Kenjaku started the culling game, it became quite clear that this segment of the story might see developments that led JJK to its end. As a result, it did not come as a surprise to any fan when Gojo returned once again. Gojo absolutely had to be present for the finale of the series and, after years, he finally got unsealed. Immediately after being unsealed, it was made clear that Gojo would now fight against Sukuna, the strongest sorcerer in history in JJK.
Their fight would go on to shake the entire world and lasted for quite a long time. JJK saw these two characters go toe to toe against each other for months and it was quite clear for the fans to see that they were evenly matched for the most part. For what it's worth, Gojo held the advantage for the majority of the fight and that is precisely why it was surprising to the fans when he ended up losing the battle. Gojo did not just lose the battle, however. In fact, Gojo also ended up losing his life, which made this fight a shocker for the fans. Immediately after Gojo died, fans started theorizing about his return and they still haven't stopped for many reasons.
The Major Events After Gojo's Death
Since JJK concluded the fight between Gojo and Sukuna, fans have been theorizing about Gojo's return and, at the same time, many other fights have taken place in the story as well. Sukuna himself was taken on by none other than Kashimo immediately after Gojo fell. Fans were not given any time to breathe or grieve as soon as Gojo died. Kashimo jumped into battle and challenged Sukuna, dealing quite a lot of damage to him and even pushing him to his reincarnated form. Sukuna then proceeded to kill Kashimo and, immediately after, another battle ensued, this time, with Yuji and Higuruma jumping into battle.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Kenjaku's Next Body, Explained
Kenjaku's next body might be that of a beloved JJK character.
Meanwhile, fans also got some attention being taken away from the likes of Sukuna. Kenjaku, whom fans had not seen for quite a while, was now the focus of the story and this only made everything far more interesting. Kenjaku was first confronted by none other than Hazenoki and, immediately after he fell, another competitor in the form of Takaba joined the battle and decided to challenge him. This fight was nothing short of extraordinary for the fans, given that it did not follow the logic of a normal fight. Fans weren't exactly sure what they were looking at, however, they did know that with Takaba in a battle, the entire fight would be centered around comedy.
This was a very strange approach taken by the author, however, it certainly did provide fans with some incredibly fun chapters. The vast majority of the focus was on Takaba himself as he decided to look inward and find his true reason for becoming a comedian. His cursed technique shone pretty brightly in this fight and, at the end of it all, it bore results when it directly paved the way for the death of none other than Kenjaku.
Kenjaku Loses Suguru's Body
At the end of the clash between Takaba and Kenjaku, fans were left confused as Takaba started dying. He immediately realized that the performance that they did together was their last act and that soon, their time together was going to come to an end. Since Kenjaku himself was dragged into the world that Takaba had imagined, he couldn't help but be moved by Takaba's incredible performance. At the same time, he also acknowledged the fact that Takaba was a fantastic comedian and, with that, Takaba was finally laid to rest, given that he could not kill. Immediately after, fans were taken by surprise, just like Kenjaku himself, as Yuta snuck up behind him and launched a powerful attack. This attack was so strong that it completely cleaved Kenjaku's head office shoulders.
For the very first time, Kenjaku received a serious injury that could destroy him utterly. Kenjaku could not come back from this even if he wanted to and it became clear before all to see that it was time for him to admit that he failed in accomplishing his goals. He openly admitted to being the loser here, however, at the same time, he also mentioned that someone else would inherit his will.
Fans might be wondering as to what that has to do with Gojo, however, the fact that Yuta attacked Kenjaku is directly linked to it. To make things more clear, Kenjaku himself is not dead. However, the body that he was using, that is, the body of Suguru, cannot be used by him anymore. Now, Kenjaku can either be killed by Yuta if he is stabbed with cursed energy, or he can escape and look for a new vessel.
Kenjaku In Gojo's Body
The only way for Kenjaku to survive is by looking for a new vessel and that is precisely where Gojo comes in. Fans know that Gojo died rather recently in JJK and his body can easily be used by Kenjaku as a vessel. The only problem that Kenjaku would face is the distance between him and Gojo's body would be far too much. However, there is no saying that a character such as him wouldn't have a contingency plan designed already. Kenjaku could easily jump from there to the main battlefield and then take over the body of none other than Gojo. If that ends up happening, Kenjaku will gain unprecedented power and nobody will be able to stop him in the world of JJK.
