Gojo makes a comeback in JJK. Gojo vs Sukuna round 2 could start soon.

However, unless the author goes ahead and says otherwise, fans should assume that the words of the editor and the narrator hold true. More importantly, there are other intriguing questions surrounding Gojo as well, such as the missing right eye.

Gojo's Potential Return In JJK 260

Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 was absolutely spectacular for the fans and this goes without saying. This chapter was exciting from the beginning to the end as it gave fans a proper battle between the duo of Yuji and Todo, against the King of Curses, Sukuna. Fans had not seen Todo in battle for quite a while, and surely, most readers of the series craved his return. Now that Todo is back, it was incredibly exciting to see him collaborating with Yuji once again and messing with the King of Curses, opening up a way for Yuji to claim victory. This battle was incredibly exciting and fans got to see Todo showing his improved cursed technique, Boogie Woogie. At the same time, the teamwork between Yuji and Toto was effortless, and it allowed them to deliver a bunch more blows on the King of Curses, weakening him even further.

Then Sukuna saw a ghost of immense strength who he had buried with his own hands!

However, while all that certainly was exciting and deserves praise on its own, the biggest moment of the chapter came right at the very end, where, against all odds, the strongest modern sorcerer, Gojo Satoru finally appeared to have made a return as a ghost. This was a major shock to nearly all the fans of the series, and one that most did not believe upon seeing it first. Fans should absolutely not discredit Gojo's return. This is simply down to the fact that there are two different individuals in the same chapter confirming Gojo's return, be it as a ghost or a real human.

The narrator himself goes on to say that Sukuna saw the ghost of the strongest that he buried, and at the same time, the editor goes on to add to it and say that the eye that he witnessed was unmistakable. As such, for now, Gojo has made a sensational return to the story and it will be incredibly exciting to see how this changes Jujutsu Kaisen from here onwards.

Gojo's Right Eye

Gojo Might Have Lost His Right Eye Permanently

Of course, fans only got two panels in JJK chapter 260 with Gojo in them. The very first panel showcased Gojo in a silhouette behind a cloud of smoke, as Sukuna looked to his left while making the palm sign for his domain expansion. Fans know that Sukuna wanted to expand his domain once again in order to end the battle against Yuji and Todo. Before he could do that, however, Gojo appeared on the battlefield. The second panel came right after, in which Gojo was looking down on Sukuna, and this is precisely where the chapter ended. Curiously enough, in this last panel of the chapter, fans did not get to see Gojo's right eye. Only his left eye was visible, even though the hair wasn't covering the other part of his face.

When Gojo Satoru was born, the balance of the entire world shifted!

Now, this could simply be a stylistic choice by the author. Of course, many times, authors of series have their own particular art style which can, at times, be exaggerated. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, at the same time, it also opens the door for discussion, especially when there is a big reason as to why Gojo could be missing his right eye.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Why Gojo's Return Makes Perfect Sense

Gojo's return was long awaited in JJK. Here's why it makes perfect sense.

When Gojo fought against Sukuna and lost, he did not lose his right eye. Even though he was sliced by the World Splitting Dismantle, Gojo had both eyes intact and fans saw them in multiple panels. As such, one might be confused as to why Gojo would be missing his right eye. However, there is something deeper here that fans need to look at. For one, Gojo was most certainly dead. This was confirmed by the author through the narrator, the editor, Sukuna, and many other individuals in the story as well. Essentially, returning from death would demand a major sacrifice, and Gojo, who wields the power of the Six Eyes, could potentially have given it up.

Could Gojo Have Made A Sacrifice?

Gojo's Sacrifice Could Have Paved The Way For His Return

The chances of Gojo having sacrificed his right eye are certainly there. While nothing is set in stone at this point in time, this is a very exciting idea that fans would absolutely love to discuss until JJK chapter 261 drops. Essentially, Gojo would have to make a massive sacrifice in order to facilitate his return. This sacrifice could come through a Binding Vow. Fans have seen multiple Binding Vows in JJK as of late. For instance, in order to gain one advantage in battle, Sukuna nerfed himself in other ways on multiple occasions. In the previous chapter, Todo did something similar to improve Boogie Woogie's range and the number of people that it could target. Similarly, in order to return from death, Gojo could have made a Binding Vow which would essentially help him come back.

Now, returning from death is something major, and, as such, it would require a major Binding Vow as well. Fans already know that the Six Eyes, which are directly connected to Tengen, would serve as an adequate sacrifice. Simply put, by sacrificing one of his eyes, Gojo could have gotten his life back in exchange. This is a fair trade, and it explains why Gojo would be missing his right eye. From there onwards, the rest of the work would have been done by Shoko, as she would have healed his body perfectly, and Ui Ui could've then have transported him back to the battlefield, which would explain why Sukuna started to notice him suddenly.

At the same time, fans should also keep in mind that now that Gojo is on the battlefield, he is most likely going to attack Sukuna. In fact, the person who seemingly opened his domain in JJK chapter 260 might not be Sukuna but Gojo. Fans do not know who exactly uttered the words “domain expansion” in the chapter and the author could easily have been tricking the fans by making it seem that this was Sukuna, but in reality, it could have been Gojo who would unleash the power of Unlimited Void very soon. Regardless of which way fans look at it, things are incredibly exciting in Jujutsu Kaisen right now, and from here onwards, things are only going to get better. All fans need to do is wait, and thankfully, there is no break next week either.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 261, is set to be May 26, 2024.
