While Gojo truly is back, as was confirmed in the previous chapter, how he is back or something that no fan could have predicted. There are a lot of interesting details surrounding Gojo's return and one character who ties everything together and that is none other than Yuta, who fans not to be one of the most important characters in the entirety of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Gojo's Return In JJK
Gojo Satoru Has Returned…With Yuta In Control
Gojo's return has been teased in the story for quite a while now. In fact, the fans had been theorizing about his return for a long time and many believed that Gojo would eventually come back to life in one way or another. When JJK chapter 260 dropped, fans were incredibly excited to see this possibility becoming real. Towards the end of the chapter, when Todo and Yuji's combination play allowed them to land a deadly blow on Sukuna, the king attempted to reopen his domain to end the battle.
Right then, a mysterious figure emerged from the smoke and it was none other than Gojo. This wasn't just a ghost, as fans saw him from a third-person perspective as well, which meant that he was truly back. In JJK chapter 261, more context was provided to this. At the very beginning, Sukuna refused to believe his eyes. He knew that he had killed Gojo with his own hands and that this return could not have been possible. However, as soon as Gojo lifted his head, it became clear that this individual wasn't exactly Gojo but Pseudo Gojo. In fact, stitch marks were seen on Gojo's head, which would only mean that Kenjaku was at work here.

However, even that was not truly the case. The real person behind the return of Gojo was none other than Yuta. Fans know that his importance to the series is absolutely paramount. When it comes to Gojo, it can be argued that Yuta is the closest living character to him, and for him to have devised the plan with the strongest makes quite a lot of sense. Together, these two had come up with a brilliant plan and one that Gojo did not seem to mind. Now, it has been confirmed that Gojo Satoru is back, but the person in control of Gojo is Yuta.
How Yuta Made Gojo's Return Possible
Yuta Used The Brain Swap Technique To Take Control Of Gojo
As mentioned above, the only person responsible for Gojo's return to the battlefield is none other than Yuta Okkotsu. It was he who made this return possible, although it cannot be called Gojo's return exactly. The body and the powers belong to Gojo, but the mind in control is that of Yuta. Still, Gojo, in a way, is truly back on the battlefield and things are only going to get more exciting from here on. As to how this was made possible, Yuta was planning to utilize this technique even before the battle between Gojo and Sukuna began. This is somewhat disappointing to the fans, and just goes to show that many sorcerers did not trust Gojo to win this battle, to begin with. Of course, the opponent was the strongest in history and this was always a real possibility, however, Gojo's students showing a bit more trust in him which would certainly have been more reassuring.
Yuta can only use his Copy technique for as long as Rika is fully manifested, which is 5 minutes. What happens after those 5 minutes are up?
Essentially, Yuta suggested that after he took care of Kenjaku, he would utilize his brain-hopping technique to take over Gojo's body and utilize it in battle. This would dramatically increase his chances for victory as, otherwise, defeating the King of Curses would have been impossible.

When Yuta confronted Gojo, the strongest did not seem to mind. According to Gojo, what happens to a corpse after the person is dead doesn't really matter. He gave Yuta the permission to do whatever he wanted with the corpse. Still, Yuta hoped that Gojo would win at first, and when he lost, he would still try to end the battle in his own way using his own body. However, when Yuta was sliced down with the World Splitting Dismantle, he took it upon himself to enter Gojo's body. According to Yuta, this is an absolutely massive burden. Gojo is becoming a monster for the sake of everyone. He has always been the strongest and this title of the strongest carries a curse in itself.
Yuta was willing to carry this curse on his shoulders and become the monster if Gojo was gone. This just goes to show the love and respect Yuta has for Gojo, but at the same time, this desecrates Gojo as he is being utilized as a tool even after death, which is utterly tragic.

Yuta's Performance Against Sukuna Could Be Very Impressive
After Gojo was sliced down by Sukuna, Shoko stitched up his body properly. Following that, Yuta was sliced down as well, and thanks to Rika, he was able to stay alive longer. Eventually, however, his life was fading and that is when the brain hopping technique took place. Yuta then switched to Gojo's body and utilized maximum output reverse cursed technique to bring the body to life. With that, Yuta was back and he rushed to the battlefield immediately after. Now, Yuta is on the battlefield and he is going to try to take down Sukuna all by himself. That said, this isn't going to be easy for him at all. For one, the amount of time for which Yuta can utilize his Copy cursed technique is only 5 minutes.
It is unknown what exactly will happen after 5 minutes. There are three possibilities right now. Either, after 5 minutes, Yuta will die immediately, or, he could potentially die slowly after 5 minutes. The other possibility is that Yuta will forever be stuck in Gojo's body and eventually die of old age. There is another possibility which might be Ui Ui getting involved and swapping Yuta back to his own body and Gojo taking control of his own body and returning from death, although the chances of that happening are very low. Still, fans should keep that in mind.
As to how the battle with Sukuna will proceed, the editor has called this battle a revenge fight, which means that Yuta is filled with rage against Sukuna for what happened to Gojo. Using Gojo's very own body, his Six Eyes, and the Limitless cursed technique, he's going to unleash hell on Sukuna. Of course, Yuta cannot utilize the Limitless technique as well as Gojo, or even the Six Eyes. However, Gojo did mention that being linked to both the Sugawara and the Fujiwara Clan is going to help him in some way or form. The goal here is to manifest an Open Barrier Domain version of Unlimited Void, and with that, he can potentially try to win the domain clashes. He still has just 5 minutes and will have to wrap it up in time. For now, fans can finally settle down and accept the fact that Gojo is back, but only in a physical sense. The one in control of the body is none other than Yuta.
