The best user of Reverse Cursed technique is revealed in JJK 245.

Jujutsu Kaisen might not last very long and recently, in the Jump Festa 2024 stage for the series, Gege Akutami, the author of the story, all but confirmed that the story is coming to a conclusion very soon.

Gege Akutami's Message From Last Year

Kenjaku in Geto's Body

In 2023, fans already knew that JJK was starting to wrap up. The story didn't have much left, especially given that the Culling Game arc had begun and the events of the ark certainly felt like the manga was coming to an end. All the major characters were seen taking part in the story and, at the same time, the major villains were given their prominent roles as well. Fans know that the overarching villains of JJK are none other than Kenjaku and Ryomen Sukuna and both of them were incredibly active in the arc. In fact, Sukuna himself was resurrected in his original body in 2023 and, at the same time, Kenjaku started playing out his end game as well.

The signs were always there for the fans that JJK would end very soon. This didn't come as a surprise to the fans either, given that for Jump Festa 2023 stage, Gege confirmed that the story will wrap up in 2023. Thankfully for the fans, this appears to have been a miscalculation from the author and the story continues in 2024. However, that said, this time, the author has said with conviction that he believes that the story will not continue past 2024 and that this will be the last Jump Festa stage for the series ever, which makes it somewhat special and sad at the same time.

Gege Confirms Jujutsu Kaisen Is Ending

Jump Festa 2024

For Jump Festa 2024, a series such as Jujutsu Kaisen was sure to get its own stage and, of course, it had the attention of all the fans from all over the world. People wanted to hear from the author of the story about what to expect from the upcoming developments in the manga and, at the same time, most importantly, about when the story would conclude. As fans expected, the author touched upon the subject and confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen will be ending in 2024. Here is the full message from the author, from Jump Festa 2024:

“We're doing a Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition~~~

This will probably be the last Jujutsu Kaisen Jump Festa stage while the manga is still in serialization.

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is a digital manuscript so strictly speaking, there is no actual genga to actually exhibit.

We put a lot of thought into how to go about it, and decided to show all the remaining rough drafts, drafts, and all the assistant work that usually gets hidden behind the characters and speech bubbles.

My goal is to make people who attend the exhibition think "I can draw manga too!!"

We're currently going through trial testing of the exhibition with groups of adults. Do your best, grown ups!!

Everyone, please look forward to it!!

– Akutami Gege.”

Jujutsu Kaisen: 5 Reasons Why Gojo Satoru Will Return To The Story

Here's why Satoru Gojo must return to the JJK story.

Much to the surprise of the fans, the author opened up by saying that this will be the last stage for JJK at Jump Festa and that means he doesn't believe that the series will continue to December 2024. While the exact date for the conclusion of the story hasn't been provided just yet, it will likely happen before December and that means there are not too many chapters left in the story anymore.

How Many Chapters Left In Jujutsu Kaisen?

Itadori Yuji

Currently, Jujutsu Kaisen has 245 chapters. The story has delved into many interesting arcs, with the likes of Shibuya and the Culling Game arc being held in great regard among the fans, although the latter is somewhat divisive. With the ongoing events of the Culling Game, it is clear that the arc is now slowly approaching its climax.

Fans have seen some major characters dying in this arc and, at the same time, the strongest of villains appear to be at their very peak.

When it comes to Kenjaku, the threat seems to have been dealt with. Kenjaku was decapitated by Yuta recently and it appears that he will now be forced to leave Geto's body. Kenjaku might even end up dying here, which would then make Sukuna the only surviving major antagonist of the series. Sukuna himself has recently killed Gojo and, now, he's faced by none other than Yuji, the protagonist of the series. This fight could very well be the focus of the story now and it could wrap up sooner than fans might expect. If one had to take a guess, Jujutsu Kaisen will likely conclude within 30 or so chapters and, in these 30 chapters, the series will have to effectively kill off Sukuna and end the Culling Game. It would also have to deliver proper conclusions for the vast majority of characters and that certainly is a challenge for Gege Akutami.

When Will Jujutsu Kaisen End?

Megumi Yuji and Nobara Jujutsu Kaisen

When speaking of the conclusion of JJK, fans absolutely should not be worried because the manga is not going to end all that soon. The story still has the conclusion left and, at the same time, the aftermath of the Culling Game as well. This would mean that JJK has a few months left and the fans should simply sit back and enjoy this ride for what it is. Ideally, fans would expect JJK to end around the beginning of fall of 2024. This would be perfect as it would give the author enough time to flesh out the remaining events of the Culling Game arc and, at the same time, make it so that the series wraps up before December of 2024, which he highlighted himself.

Of course, there's also a slight chance that JJK will not conclude in 2024. After all, the author delivered a similar message last year and, against all odds, the series did not end in 2023. While a writer might plan for a certain event to happen at a certain time, often, that doesn't go according to plan and many things come into the equation, which greatly affects the story in many ways. It is possible that this might end up happening with JJK as well and, despite the author wanting the story to conclude in 2024, it might actually end up heading into 2025. That said, nothing is certain at the moment and, there's absolutely nothing to back any theory. The author has made his intention to end JJK in 2024 known and that is the only thing that fans can go off of right now.

Fans who absolutely love JJK can hope that the series continues in the foreseeable future and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
