Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 251 dropped earlier today and, once again, the author of the story, Gege Akutami, showed that he is a master of drawing incredible combat. JJK chapter 251 focused on the battle between the duo of Yuji and Yuta, and Sukuna. This fight has been raging on for a while now and it looks like it finally met its end in this week's chapter.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Is Yuta Okkotsu Dead?

The intensity of this fight is certainly something to marvel at and, much to the surprise of the fans, Sukuna could very well have fallen in this chapter. However, there were many other twists and turns that came along the way, which made JJK chapter 251 as brilliant as it was. All that, when coupled with a very surprising appearance towards the end of the chapter made this week's JJK chapter worthwhile.

At the end of the previous JJK chapter, fans saw Yuta landing a powerful strike on Sukuna using his very own curse technique. Yuta had already copied Cleave, and, using this power he cut Sukuna right from his arm to his face. Sukuna was quite surprised at how he managed to do this and inflicted damage on him, to which, Yuta replied that his last finger which he was not able to retrieve was with him. Sukuna immediately put two and two together and figured out that Yuta had actually eaten his finger. Using this finger, it becomes quite clear as to how Yuta was able to use his technique on him and it also showcases that Yuta can utilize all the other techniques that Sukuna has as well.

At the beginning of the chapter, the incredible assault on Sukuna continued and Yuta certainly landed one blow after another on him, weakening him greatly in the process. Meanwhile, Rika also did her part, as did Yuji, who attacked him relentlessly, despite receiving quite a lot of heavy blows himself. Sukuna once again attacked him with the powerful Dismantle, only for Yuji to regenerate from the strike once again and attack Sukuna with powers of his own.

Yuji was pivotal in this week's chapter in many ways, and the most important one was to weaken Sukuna's grasp over Megumi's body. He accomplished this by hitting Sukuna's very soul again and again with powerful blows. Yuji knew that this was the last chance that he would get to save Megumi and, for that reason, he fought with everything that he had. He even resorted to tactics such as spitting blood on Sukuna's face, and later down the line, making the blood itself explode. With powerful strikes raining down on Sukuna one after another, Yuji then went on to weaken him enough to a point where Sukuna was finally starting to show signs of defeat.

At this point, Yuta took center stage, immediately realizing that Sukuna would give up on using Hollow Wicker Basket and instead try to attack them. This is precisely what Sukuna did, and he started to make preparations for the world splitting dismantle that he used to kill Gojo. However, as soon as that happened, Yuji and Rika pulled through and opened up an opportunity for Yuta to attack with Jacob's Ladder. Using the power of Maximum Output Jacob's Ladder, Sukuna was bathed in light, which would eventually have killed him completely, however, something very interesting happened when Yuji finally met Megumi.

Jujutsu Kaisen: The Plan To Save Megumi, Explained

Megumi's fate is still unclear in JJK. However, there is still hope for this beloved character.

It must be noted that this battle would have wrapped up right here if Megumi had done what Yuta and Yuji wanted him to do. Instead, Yuji was surprised to know that Megumi had given up all intentions of living and that he simply wanted to die at this point. While this might be surprising to the fans, it is very sensible, given that he killed Tsumiki and Gojo as well. He has suffered quite a lot and, at this point, he has nothing to live for. Megumi simply wants this pain to end forever and, for that reason, he has given up all hope to live.

This is where Yuta and Yuji's plan finally collapsed and their chance of victory was destroyed. Meanwhile, Sukuna, who was preparing for the World Splitting Dismantle, fired it off at Yuta, Yuji, and Rika at the same time. All three of them suffered tremendous damage, while Yuta's domain started to break, finally.

It appears that Yuta and Yuji cannot continue fighting for long, given that they suffered tremendous damage. The world splitting dismantle was enough to kill Gojo, and in the case of Yuta, it completely sliced off his hand, and it appears that his entire torso was cut in half as well. In the case of Yuji, the damage appears to be significant as well, and both of these characters will likely be out of battle for a while, if they don't end up dying first. That said, it must be noted that Sukuna is not at full power right now and Yuji and Yuta's attacks have considerably weakened him. As a result, his world splitting Dismantle might be weaker and could leave survivors.

Maki Makes Her Move

While this was certainly shocking for the fans and something that they had a hard time processing, Maki came and saved the day at the very end, and stabbed Sukuna right through his chest. Right where Sukuna thought he had won, Maki utilized her incredible powers, and snuck up on him from behind, completely taking him by surprise and stabbed him with her Split Soul Katana. It must be noted that Maki does not have any cursed energy at all, which makes it easy for her to enter and leave domains, and of course, even sneak up on people despite being tremendously powerful. Maki achieved this with great success and landed a fatal wound on Sukuna himself.

There appears to be a parallel to how Toji stabbed Gojo right through the chest. Maki did so against Sukuna in a similar fashion and now, everything rests on her shoulders. Thankfully, Maki has the power of a Split Soul Katana, using which she can damage Sukuna’s very soul, and once again weaken his control over Megumi's body. The chances of Megumi being rescued are still there, and this time, it is Maki who's going to be attempting to save him.

Of course, rescuing him is not going to be easy, however, that is exactly what the challenge is here. For Maki to do that, however, she will have to overcome the threat that is Sukuna. That said, he is weakened right now and, hopefully, she will gain support from the likes of Yuta and Yuji once again, even though they were brutally attacked. JJK looks like it is going to be very exciting going forward and fans can only sit back and wait for this incredible story to continue.
