Jujutsu Kaisen is incredibly intense currently, more so than ever before, given how the last chapter of the series went. It is safe to say that the previous chapter of the series was, by far, the most shocking one and, at the same time, divisive one in the entire story so far. Gojo, the strongest modern sorcerer, and a fan favorite, was killed off in quite a brutal manner by the author.
This shocked the fans as Sukuna was declared the winner in their incredible fight in Jujutsu Kaisen. Without giving any time for the fans and the spectators to mourn for Gojo, another battle started immediately as none other than Hajime Kashimo stepped in. Now, fans are geared up for a fight between these two characters and they simply cannot wait to see how it progresses from here onwards.
Gojo vs Sukuna Ends
The fight between Kashimo and Sukuna was brought forth after the conclusion of Gojo's battle. Gojo fought against Sukuna for quite a long time and fared incredibly well in this fight. In fact, it is safe to say that he was the dominant force for the vast majority of this clash and did exceedingly well, surpassing the expectations of even Sukuna and pushing him into a corner on more than one occasion. Had it not been for plot-related reasons and some very questionable decisions on the part of the author, Gojo would certainly have been the winner in this battle. However, that was not to be.
At the end of it, it was Sukuna who emerged as the victor as he developed a completely new technique on the go to surpass his own limits and kill Gojo using his powerful Cleave technique. Essentially, he was able to cleave apart the entire world instead of targeting Gojo and that allowed him to slice through infinity as well. With Gojo's defenseless, he was chopped up and killed in the process. This was a horrifying sight for the fans and the spectators alike, however, no room for any grievances was given as the next battle started immediately after. Kashimo, the lightning god, jumped into action and it is time for him to show off what he is capable of in the fight against Sukuna. Now, fans are excited to see how this battle proceeds, and while it might not be as exciting as the fight between Gojo and Sukuna, it is surely going to be very interesting.
Kashimo Steps In
At the end of JJK chapter 236, Kashimo was seen as more than excited to jump into battle. This wasn't the first time that the fans saw him be ecstatic to find against Sukuna. In fact, just moments ago, when the possibility of Gojo losing was brought forward, it was Kashimo who wanted to join the battle before anyone else. Even when Yuta wanted to intervene, Kashimo made it quite clear that he should not interfere and there was a clear implication that it was he who wanted to go first. Long before that, it was revealed to the fans that he wanted to reveal his Cursed Technique in the fight against Sukuna as well.
Kashimo is incredibly excited to fight against the strongest of all time and that is something that fans are very excited to see as well. Meanwhile, Sukuna himself is someone who is still looking for a challenge, even though he was heavily beaten by Gojo. Currently, Sukuna has had half of his face and one arm completely blown up and he is on his last legs, however, he is still looking to fight.
Towards the end of the previous chapter, he made it quite clear that he was feeling incredible and he did not want anyone to ruin that for him. By this, he meant that he wanted a similar kind of challenge once again to keep up the joy that he was getting from fighting. Kashimo is someone that fans know is very strong and he's certainly among the strongest ancient sorcerers around right now. However, whether he is able to find against Sukuna or not is something that remains to be seen.
Kashimo's Current Level
Kashimo is a powerful sorcerer who is not to be underestimated. However, when speaking of the gods of the JJK-verse, such as Gojo and Sukuna, Kashimo might not be as strong. In fact, he previously lost his fight against Hakari and fans know that Hakari is nowhere near the power level of Gojo, even though he has a tremendous amount of potential. Kashimo did push Hakari to great lengths in the fight. In fact, the latter even lost an arm in this fight but it was still not enough, given what fans have seen from him so far, he is nowhere near the level of Sukuna. However, an interesting thing that fans should keep in mind is the fact that his cursed technique has not been revealed just yet.
He did not rely on it in his fight against Hakari and he wanted to save it to fight Sukuna. Depending on the strength of his cursed technique, one's perception of him could change entirely. If his cursed technique is that strong, then, perhaps, even Sukuna will have some trouble dealing with him. However, given that he isn't spoken of in the same breath as Sukuna itself is proof enough that it is not going to be something extremely overpowered, at the very least. Fans know that his cursed energy has electrifying properties and that means whatever Cursed Technique he possesses could have something similar built into it.
The Winner Of The Fight
Predicting the winner of the fight between Sukuna and Kashimo is rather difficult at the moment. However, one should always bet on Sukuna in these cases. More often than not, the chances are that Sukuna will absolutely crush Kashimo as well. That certainly does not mean that Kashimo won't impress the fans. He will most certainly get his moment and his cursed technique will likely be difficult for Sukuna to deal with, especially since he is not at his best right now and is battered completely, thanks to Gojo. Against a weakened Sukuna, Kashimo might be able to put up a fight for quite a while, however, at the end of the day, he should not be expected to be the one to beat Sukuna.
That burden solely falls on none other than Yuji. The characters of Yuji and Sukuna are tied together. Itadori is the main character at the end of the day and it should be he who vanquishes the King of Curses himself. He has more than enough reason to do so and enough hatred in his heart to see him accomplish this goal. As for Kashimo, it is unfortunate that he's heading into battle with Sukuna. Fans can rest assured that he will get his highlight in this fight and he will most likely even injure Sukuna even further and surprise him with his bag of tricks, however, it is highly unlikely for him to be the one to defeat and kill Sukuna.
