Undoubtedly, Gojo Satoru is among the star characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. The white-haired character has proved to be a formidable Jujutsu sorcerer, capable of besting the strongest curses and the most powerful Jujutsu sorcerers. Time and again, Gojo has established his battle-worthy skills in different sensational fights in both the anime and the manga.

From his 'Limitless' technique to ‘Six Eyes,’ Gojo is topping charts in the world of sorcery and cursed spirits. His apex ability, none other than 'Unlimited Void’ Domain Expansion, shocked fans after its debut in chapter fifteen of the manga (Episode 6 – anime), giving fans an impression of what he is truly capable of. Even though Gojo is extraordinarily powerful, there are characters in the series that can match him, now or later, due to their vast potential. So, let's go through three of these amazing characters.

Yuta Okkotsu’s Rika & His Immense Cursed Energy?

Yuta Okkotsu, the protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, made an indelible impression on fans with his profound powers and cursed techniques. Of all Okkotsu's notable features, his immense cursed energy stands out the most. To the regular Jujutsu sorcerer, cursed energy is their lifeline since it supports their techniques for cursed spirits’ exorcism. Consequently, possessing a vast amount of this cursed energy is a bonus. With limitless cursed energy, dishing out cursed techniques without worrying about backlash becomes a given. On this note, Yuta Okkotsu currently has the highest amount of cursed energy in the series, even more than the legendary Gojo. This allows him to expertly utilize a bunch of powerful cursed techniques, especially the revered reverse cursed technique. The reverse cursed technique allows Yuta to self-heal after tough battles or during a tough fight, increasing his durability.

To add to his already impressive sorcery set, Yuta has Rika, a powerful cursed spirit known as the “Queen of Curses.” Similar to her contractor, Yuta, Rika has an immeasurable amount of cursed energy. Even Gojo Satoru warned Yuta that unless he could expertly handle Rika using his sword, he must not release the fearful cursed spirit. Similarly, Suguru Geto, one of the best sorcerers adept at controlling spirits, could not manipulate Rika. After failing, he stated that once Rika is under Yuta’s complete control, his power would skyrocket, making him a world-level threat if he succumbs to villainy. Even without Yuta's influence, Rika's instincts are geared towards protecting Yuta, so on a regular day, the sorcerer has a dangerous bodyguard.

Yuta Okkotsu is in his second year, meaning that he still has room to grow as a sorcerer. Therefore, it's not far-fetched that the young sorcerer will surpass Gojo in the near future, considering that he has remarkable potential and exceptional cursed energy.

Megumi Fushiguro & His Boundless Talent?

In the anime, you've probably glimpsed into Megumi's talent as a sorcerer. Right from the first few episodes, the demon-god, Sukuna acknowledged Megumi's talent. The first noticeable thing to note about the character is his Ten Shadows technique which he activates without using seals – the regular way of summoning shadows. Even Gojo Satoru remarked that Megumi can surpass him as a jujutsu sorcerer. In episode 23 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Megumi managed to create an incomplete Domain Expansion but was still able to defeat the special-grade curse, Finger Bearer; an impressive feat considering his status as a first-year. However, in the manga, the true potential of his domain expansion made its mark among curses and sorcerers, allowing him to create a doppelganger and launch attacks simultaneously, using the Ten Shadows technique.

Megumi surprised readers once again after he summoned Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga, the strongest Shikigami that exists within the Ten Shadows technique. No Ten Shadows user has been able to control this monster, so being able to summon it in the first place is nothing short of a feat. Sukuna, on his 15th finger, managed to kill the constantly evolving cursed spirit after using his Domain Expansion repeatedly, ascertaining the cursed spirit's remarkable strength. On several occasions, Sukuna could have easily killed Megumi. However, he always hesitates to kill him for one core reason: Megumi’s potential.

Knowing Sukuna, he wants to fight a battle he would relish, and he has judged that Megumi would provide him with just that, so it is deducible that Megumi’s peak as a sorcerer would rival or even surpass Gojo Satoru.

Ryomen Sukuna With Twenty Fingers??

Sukuna is the main antagonist of the series, so, understandably, his ‘hax’ as a character would be tremendous. After consuming only a few fingers, viewers were able to sneak a peek into the characters' abilities. Even in a supposedly weak state, Sukuna was able to exorcise a powerful special-grade curse with his Malevolent Shrine Domain Expansion. Presently in the manga, Sukuna has obtained power from 15 fingers, and he displayed his power in his battle with Jogo, a Special-grade curse, with a powerful Domain Expansion. It wasn’t even a battle; it was a circus with Sukuna watching in amusement. He crushed Jogo easily and defeated Divine General Mahoraga, the trump card of the Zen’in clan.

Sukuna's Domain Expansion has been revered for being a "divine technique." Contrary to the usual Domain Expansion, the technique manifests in reality and reaches its peak with the "Binding Vow," which ensures its effectiveness within a 200-meter radius. Sukuna at 20 fingers has been the subject of most fan debates and arguments. Alongside Gojo, the character has been called “the Honored One,” signifying that he is as unique as the special-grade sorcerer. In Shibuya Arc, Sukuna was able to obliterate a city while still at 15 fingers. So, using a standard estimate, it is fair to assume that Sukuna will be more powerful than Gojo at 20 fingers. Although being stronger doesn't necessarily mean Gojo will lose in a fight. Regardless, it gives him an edge over the "strongest sorcerer."
