Seeing as a lot of characters prefer to use their physical attributes in battle before employing cursed techniques, strength is a very important quality for jujutsu sorcerers. Speed, on the other hand, is also a pivotal attribute, separating the swift from the average in life-or-death confrontations and encounters.
From deadly cursed spirits to determined sorcerers, this series showcases a multitude of characters whose lightning-fast movements leave their opponents and the viewers awestruck. Here are some of the characters in Jujutsu Kaisen who have solidified their position as the fastest in the verse.
10 Itadori Yuji
Yuji is the titular protagonist of the story, who was living a normal life till he had a fateful encounter that ended up with him becoming the vessel for Ryoumen Sukuna, the King of Curses. Despite being a normal human prior to that, Yuji was born with physical attributes superior to other humans, which did not need any special training to manifest.
He is fast enough to dash fifty meters in three seconds, meaning he can achieve a top speed of 60.12km/h or 37.3mph. Notably, he showcased his exceptional reflexes by dodging Choso’s Piercing Blood, a formidable attack that moves at the speed of sound.
9 Mahito
The dreaded Mahito is one of the strongest cursed spirits in the series, but he is also one of the fastest characters. His speed in combination with his Idle Transfiguration technique, makes him a very formidable foe. His agility allowed him to outpace Yuji and launch an attack on Todo with such swiftness that the latter could only focus his cursed energy on the target area in an attempt to control the damage.
He could also simultaneously keep up with Yuji and Nanami, dodging and blocking a lot of their attacks, even launching some of his own.
8 Naoya Zenin
Naoya serves as the leader of the Hei, an esteemed group of jujutsu sorcerers within the Zenin clan. He possesses an innate technique called Projection Sorcery, which he inherited from his father. This technique allows him to convert one second of real-time into twenty-four frames and perform a sequence of predetermined movements within his field of view.
When Naoya activates this technique, anything that his palm touches must adhere to the 24 frames per second rule. Should an object or individual fail to comply, they become frozen within an animated frame for one second, giving him control over the flow of time and granting him a distinct advantage in battle, striking his opponent multiple times before they can react.
7 Yuta Okkotsu
Initially, a special-grade cursed human haunted by Rika, Yuta trained hard to become one of the strongest characters in the series and cemented his place as one of only four special-grade jujutsu sorcerers. Yuta is capable of advanced cursed energy manipulation, which he can use to strengthen his weak body.
This reinforcement technique grants him speed, agility, maneuverability, and power greater than that of Yuji and also a cursed energy flow pattern that makes his attacks unreadable. While fighting Ryu Ishigori in Sendai, he was able to close the gap between them at an incredible speed while evading his cursed energy beams with parkour and acrobatics.
6 Naobito Zenin
Naobito is the twenty-sixth head of the Zenin clan bestowed the rank of special grade 1 and despite being a seventy-one-year-old man, he is one of the fastest characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. This is mainly due to the mastery of his innate technique called Projection Sorcery that he shares with his son Naoya, as he is capable of using it on a higher level due to his battle experience.
Naobito seamlessly combines his swiftness from his technique with his martial arts prowess to unleash a barrage of lightning-fast punches, kicks, and other attacks to overwhelm his opponents with his incredible speed to ensure he stays one step ahead of them.
5 Jogo
Jogo is a major antagonist in the series. He was presumed to be weak due to how the fight between him and Gojo in the early parts of the anime went, but make no mistake, Jogo is one of the strongest and fastest characters in the series. He effortlessly bypassed multiple grade 1 sorcerers without drawing their attention, showcasing how fast he can be.
He also caught Nanami and Maki off guard and set them ablaze before they could even react. Even Naobito Zenin, renowned as one of the fastest jujutsu sorcerers, found himself outmaneuvered by Jogo, who closed in on him and burnt him alive.
4 Maki Zenin
Maki Zenin was a non-sorcerer born into the Zenin clan, which is one of the Big Three Sorcerer Families. Her Heavenly Restriction meant she would be born devoid of all cursed energy and, instead, be blessed with a body superior to all humans. After leaving the Zenin clan, she trained hard to become one of the best jujutsu sorcerers.
Her speed, which is as remarkable as her strength, is on par with the renowned Toji Fushiguro, killing Chojuro and Nobaraki before they even realized it. Maki’s speed is borderline superhuman, capable of outpacing cursed form Naoya, who could move at three times the speed of sound.
3 Toji Fushiguro
The infamous Sorcerer Killer, Toji Fushiguro, is the strongest non-sorcerer in the entire series. Born with the same Heavenly Restriction as his equal, Maki, he had no choice but to hone his body and his skills to the limit of what is known as human. He became strong enough to take on some of the strongest jujutsu sorcerers and win despite having no cursed energy of his own.
His superhuman speed makes his next move impossible to anticipate. He also notably demonstrated it by dodging Gojo’s cursed technique, Lapse Blue, and evading the field of attraction before Gojo realized. Toji’s speed was said to rival that of Sukuna without cursed energy, making him difficult to see while moving.
2 Ryoumen Sukuna

Sukuna was the strongest sorcerer during the Heian Era, also known as the golden age of jujutsu, capable of taking on all the sorcerers simultaneously and winning before turning into a cursed object after his death. The King of Curses is the strongest and fastest cursed spirit in the story, capable of blitzing Jogo and evading his Maximum: Meteor attack.
His movements are characterized by a swiftness that catches most opponents off guard, even severing off their body parts before they even notice. In his confrontation with Mahoraga, Sukuna consistently evaded his attacks and launched effective counters, bringing Mahoraga down before he can fully regenerate.
1 Gojo Satoru
The self-proclaimed honored one is widely recognized as the strongest jujutsu sorcerer in the world. Inheriting the extremely perceptive Six Eyes and the Limitless from his family, a very rare occurrence, he is the pinnacle of power in this anime series. His incredible speed surpasses the limit of human perception, easily outpacing Jogo and pummeling him with hits he could not react to.
He was able to eliminate a thousand transfigured humans within the span of just five minutes. His Six Eyes allows him to perceive the world in quantities like speed, mass, and cursed energy, among others, granting him super reflexes in battle, with Sukuna being the only other character that can rival him.
