Gojo's Death Vs Sukuna

Gojo versus Sukuna was certainly one of the most exciting fights in JJK, and one that fans thoroughly enjoyed, for the most part. This fight saw Gojo test his skill against the strongest sorcerer in history, by throwing everything that he had at him. It is safe to say that for the vast majority of this fight, Gojo was the dominant force, and even though Sukuna did push him into the corner on many occasions, Gojo gripped this fight by the scruff of its neck, and made sure to showcase his incredible level of strength to the King of Curses. This incredible fight lasted for several chapters, and had many ups and downs. On several occasions, Gojo looked like he won the fight, and on others, he looked like he was going to lose. This fight tugged at the heartstrings of the fans, and it was one that clearly pushed both of these powerful individuals to the next level. Even Sukuna evolved in many ways during this fight, and while both of them showcased an incredible performance, at the end of it all, only one could have been the winner.

Expectedly, this person turned out to be none other than Sukuna, the King of Curses. Even though the writing for Sukuna's victory wasn't all that convincing, given that it had a few plot holes, in the end, what mattered was the fact that Gojo died in battle against him. Sukuna pulled this off by launching a world splitting dismantle at him, which he did not see coming. And from there onwards, other contenders jumped into battle against the King of Curses in order to finally put an end to him.

Ui Ui's Important Role In The Culling Game

When Gojo died, his body was split in half, and it fell right in front of Sukuna. Immediately after Gojo was killed, Kashimo jumped into battle, and these two took part in an exciting combat as well. Kashimo certainly gave fans some entertainment, and took some attention off of Gojo's death, and when he died, Yuji and Higuruma jumped into battle. Once this battle began, something very interesting took place in the story. Fans realized that Gojo's body had vanished. For a while, the author did not answer the question as to where the body went, and as a result, the vast majority of the fans simply did not get an answer to it.

However, eventually, it was through Sukuna that the author gave context to what was happening in the surroundings. Sukuna theorized that Gojo's body was taken by someone. When Higuruma fell in battle, his body was retrieved by none other than Ui Ui, who fans know to be the younger brother of Mei Mei. He successfully managed to get the body of Higuruma and teleport him somewhere. This was also the first time in the story when his cursed technique was properly revealed. According to Sukuna, he was the one responsible for taking Gojo's body and teleporting it to somewhere else.

In JJK chapter 252, it was revealed that Yuta had his body taken by Ui Ui as well. Yuta, just like Gojo, was hit by the World Splitting Dismantle coming, and when this attack hit him, it completely tore through his body, splitting him in two, just like with Gojo. However, despite that, his body was retrieved by none other than Ui Ui, and taken to the only person that could be of help in the situation, Shoko.

Shoko's Role In Heal The Injured

Sukuna clearly theorized that Ui Ui was using his teleportation technique to take the bodies to Shoko. As fans know, Shoko is an excellent healer. In fact, that is her only role in the series. For being a very poorly utilized character, Shoko does have a very big role at her hands, and that is to heal those who have fallen. For instance, Higuruma, who fell in battle to do Sukuna, will most likely be saved by Shoko. Meanwhile, Yuta is yet another character who doesn't seem like he is dead, and as a result, he too will most likely be healed by Shoko. All the other injured that have fallen on the battlefield against Sukuna are currently being taken to her, and she will play her role in keeping them alive.

Similarly, the same logic can apply to Gojo. It is highly likely that Gojo will end up being healed by her too. Assuming that's not to be the case, then Ui Ui transporting Gojo's body to Shoko, and Sukuna saying that Shoko is healing people wouldn't serve much of a purpose. At the same time, Sukuna also mentioned that Shoko's reverse cursed technique is somewhat different, and that she is special in some ways. Although Sukuna dismissed the theory of Shoko being capable of healing Gojo, that is where the author can pull a rabbit out of the hat, and surprise everyone.

Will Gojo Return?

Gojo Limitless

There is no denying the fact that Gojo received a blow that would have killed anyone. However, as fans no, Gojo is different. He is one of the strongest individuals in the world of JJK, and certainly the only one capable of going toe to toe against Sukuna, and taking him down. Gojo, even at death's door, will most likely not die easily. When Gojo died and met his friends, he was given a choice to stay with his friends and die, or go in a different direction and seek a newer path. Given his character, Gojo would most likely choose to seek a newer path. Of course, then, the rest will be down to his will to live, and those around him who can heal him and help him live. If Shoko has some way to heal others who are on the brink of death, then there is absolutely no denying the fact that Gojo can be brought back to life.

JJK chapter 252 only went on to reinforce this incredible theory of Gojo's return, and it appears that he will most likely get his chance to make his grand entry at some point close to the conclusion of the mama. Given that Yuta and Gojo both received the same injury, it would make no sense for just one of them to die, and one to survive. If Yuta survives Sukuna's attack, which he most likely will, given that he hasn't been given a proper conclusion in our story, then Gojo could survive as well, and he will most likely return towards the end of the story.

Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of JJK, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 252, is set to be March 3, 2024.
