Ever since news first broke about the Jonathan Majors scandal, his role as the MCU's Kang has been jeopardized. But a recent update in his case makes his future in the MCU even more uncertain.

The cause for concern surrounding the MCU actor started in March when Majors became involved in assault accusations. His girlfriend at the time, Grace Jabbari, was subjected to alleged assault when they were taking a private car in New York. After seeing a sensitive text message on Majors' phone, she took it from him to read the communication. When Majors grabbed the phone back, Jabbari maintains that the actor instigated physical force that resulted in bruising and other lacerations. Majors has pled his innocence, even in light of other alleged abuse victims coming out.

After so much back and forth, a new piece of evidence has been released. In documents obtained by Variety, prosecutors in the case have confirmed that a related incident occurred in London in 2022. They have not clarified what these documents hold but state that this incident involved Jabbari and the London Metropolitan Police. Prosecutors believe this police report is relevant to Majors' current charge in New York.

Jonathan Majors Accusations Alleged Abuse Victims

From the beginning, this case has been consumed with conflicting information. What started as a he-said-she-said has become even more overwhelming due to moves from Majors' legal team. They have claimed there is evidence that irrefutably clears Majors of any crime, but that has not come to light. They also stated they would file charges against Jabbari for assault, but the D.A. has not initiated any prosecution.

This does not bode well for Majors continuing in his capacity of Kang. The Lovecraft Country actor has reprised the role in Loki season 2, but that could be the last we may see of him. Loki producer Kevin Wright addressed Majors' legal troubles and did not make any moves to remove Kang from season 2, intimating that it was unclear where the case was going to go.

But with added evidence surrounding Jabbari, viewers will likely not see Majors as Kang again soon. Though Marvel Studios hasn't discussed recasting Kang, it doesn't mean they won’t. The actor is heading to trial, and though what is enclosed in the documents can only be speculated, it is not a good look for the MCU brand.
